Good, surprisingly strong
This makes shelter setup a lot easier for outdoors enthusiasts. I just bough a new hammock and used two CamJams to secure it to trees. I realize that they are not designed for that sort of stress, but they held up the entire night. I was surprised by their strength, and they made setup a lot easier. When you're setting a hammock, it takes some trial and error to get the tension just right. With the CanJam, I could easily tighten the rope when it was too loose.
The rope just feeds through the hole against the gear. It allows the rope to move only tighter, but it's not absolute, so you'll still need to tie it off.

Good idea
Use to adjust guy lines on camping hammock fly. Well built and easy to use. Tricky to relieve tension and and cord sometimes comes out of slot.
