Awesome I purchased this combo on almost a year ago and I haven't looked back. I spooled it with 12 lbs mono and I haven't had not one backlash! I saw this combo at Dick's and had to have it. So when the price didn't drop after several months I decided to get it. I named it the Cadilac because she's soooo smooth. You can spend as much money as you want on a combo or just a reel, but at the end of the day we all know it comes down to what catches our eye...but I love my Cadi and will get another one! Great Combo The reel is great, very smooth and the brakes are amazing. Once you get the brakes and spool tension set right you can cast really far with no backlashes. I have had it for 1 month now and it has caught me many fish. The rod is not bad and is surprisingly light. I plan on getting a new rod only because the MH is pretty stiff. I have it spooled up with 20# braid. I recommend 10-15# fluorocarbon because it casts far and is smoother than braid on this reel. I haven't tried mono yet. But I do recommend this combo/reel. solid combo I own three of these combos and love them. One reel broke, but dicks replaced it no questions ask. I fish way more than the average person, so I have really tested them. Only time will tell about the long term durability. December 6, 2012
