Garmin Golf This Garmin is smaller than the Sky Caddie and does not require a subscription. The Garmin is very accurate and I love the score card. It did take me a couple of rounds to figure it out. I really like it and I ran both systems at the same time and the Garmin was very accurate. I think the Garmin is every bit as good as any of the GPS systems but the no subsription is what I valued the most. May 10, 2013
Garmin Approach G6 It works fine. Dont like the charger option. Prefer Battery only. So, I can keep GPS in my bag with extra battery. It freezes on golf course. G 5 was better April 30, 2013
Enjoy it so far. Used it once, but will be using it three times in the next week. I'm sure I will enjoy it more as I get more used to it. Some people have mentioned the unit changing screens. There is a screen lock icon that come up during play. Use it. It will come up and tell you to tap power button when ready, then, an unlock icon will appear. April 25, 2013
G6 GPS All works the only negative is that the distance is only to the middle of the green. If you want the distance to the pin you need to guess where the pin is and move the pin on the screen to where you think it is on the green. Not sure if it is worth $299. February 8, 2013
Wonderful Gift For his Birthday, I'd bought my Dad the Garmin G3, but there were several features that made it less than satisfying. Sent that machine back and purchased the G6 and my Dad is sooooo happy. The screen is bright, the charge holds for multiple games, it's easy to use, the tap-screen feature is easy to use. He is very pleased. Very well worth the extra money for a much better machine. He's had is about a month now and is still excited about all of it's features. December 20, 2012
Great product This is my second year using the G6 and it is a great tool. It is excellent in changing holes automatically and I love the scorecard feature. It is very accurate and excellent showing greens. Love the front, middle, and back feature on the greens. The fact that it has 25,000 courses loaded is another great feature. Garmin G6 This product has all the features I need. The problem is the 2 main Features the yardage, and the pin placement do not work as they should. Example: When trying to move the "Flag" on the Green (with your finger)you can not position the flag, sometimes it moves, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it moves to far, it is very difficult to Position. Sometimes the yardage comes up wrong when showing the Green,this requires going back to the Fairway view then back to the green mode, sometimes several Times. Both the problems slow play and can become very irritating, especialy when Considering the $300.00 price tag!! November 14, 2012
Works great! Bought this product for my wife. She had a previous gps from another manufacturer that had no end of problems - wouldn't turn on, would freeze up etc. We used the Garmin several times now with no issues. This unit find the course very quickly and works the entire round. It is easy to use and numbers are clear and easy to read. So far we are very happy and I am considering buying another one for me. This product is fantastic I have had the opportunity to use my Garmin Approach G6 locally and in Florida. It worked great. The cours we played in Florida were all pre loaded and the accurcy was amazing. The G6 has helped mgame a great deal. It has also help improve my ability to judge distance. October 30, 2012
Excellent Golfing GPS I recently bought the Garmin Approach G6 to help me with my distances on the golf course. It is easy to use and has some great features, such as the built in scorecard and the ability to move the pin to the current location on the green. The Garmin Approach G6 has a ton of golf courses already loaded on it. All of my local courses are available and I get great signal all of the time. The setup was easy and must be done online prior to using the device for the first time. The best feature about this device is no monthly or annual fee like the other golf GPS devices that I researched. October 20, 2012
