Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 57 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth the price. Compared to other units I own, this one is a good value and easy to use. I am still getting used to its features but it easy to use. The only thing I do not care for is the scoring feature(I USE A CARD). August 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome product! Works quickly and accurately. Like that you can charge and get 3 rounds on a single charge. August 12, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Don't buy I bought this two years ago. Battery life is fine, and it is very easy to use - but those are the only good points. Screen is a bit small and very touchy. Number of courses is limited. On my home course, several holes just will not work. Other holes work, but greens and fairways don't match screen. August 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Has great color and features The g-6 is awesome. It's got great pin location to adjust and the layout of the course u use is on point August 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very pleased with G6 I bought the G6 for my wife, but have enjoyed using it quite a bit, too. Knowing the distances to the front and middle of greens as well as to hazards has changed my club selections and each time it has been for the better. Figuring out which club to use in a lay up or to hit the junction of a dog leg has been great. A few simple additional electronic capabilities would make the unit even more valuable. So I give it 4 stars rather than 5. August 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by As expected I have used but never previously owned a golf GPS. I don't like wearing watches and didn't want to have to "scope" each pin so I thought this type of GPS would be right for me. I have used it on 6 rounds so far and I am pleased with the accuracy, features and display. I am getting better at navigating my way around it. I like how I can move the pin on the GPS to match the hole. I use it on the belt clip and have had no problems. I usually charge it after 2 rounds. July 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by This product works well. Easy to read. Holds charge well. Accurate measurements. July 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Garmin G6 GPS I purchased a G6 GPS unit as a replacement for my bushnell laser rangefinder since I like to know the approximate yardage to the hole but do not need to know that it is 78 yards to the pin versus 75 yards. At this point, I have used the unit for 2 rounds. The good - The unit is small enough to fit in your pocket and not even be noticable. Both times that I turned the unit on, it found the exact course that I wanted within 5 minutes. The yardage markers were consistent with course markers and within 2 yards of my old range finder. It is a very easy unit to use that gives readings to all the key featurs on the hole (forced carries/water/bunkers/etc) but the screen is a little touchy. I suggest using the screen lock function when putting the unit in your pocket. The one feature that I found myself really enjoying that I wasn't planning on using is the scorekeeping feature. The unit made it through two rounds without a recharge before dying in the parking lot after the second round. The bad - I expected the overview of the holes to be larger but I guess that is a lot to ask for with such a small unit. It is very easy to zoom in on any section of the course that you want to see in more detail. After 2 rounds, I am very happy with my purchase and will be happy to speed up my play versus having to always point and shoot 2-3 times with the range finder just to make sure I wasn't hitting the tree behind the flag. The new price point for this unit is also a huge plus. July 28, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by G6 I have only used it a coule rounds so far. I like the graphics. The first time at hole #1 the yardage was off and I couldn't find if it had the right course or not. If it's on there I couldn't see it. After I turned it off and back on I chose the course I was at and it worked good. I don't like that it keeps asking to keep score after each hole. I didn't use it and when I look for yardage that's what I see and it's another button to push to get to where I want. I guess I will get used to it. I had the golflogix which I liked, but tierd of paying $30 a year and new batteries every 3 rounds. I can't see the Extras without glasses --- which club, scoring, etc... All I want is yardage and it looks like it will be great for that. I just hope it holds up and isn't to fragile. Good so far. Good price July 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works as advertised I used this right out of the box. I have played 4 courses so far and the G6 picks up a satellite without a problem. Setting up computer and handling changes in the scoring section is a little quirky but I am sure that will come with time. July 22, 2014
