Great Product
I bought these hiking boots to use while completing field work. I didn't have time to break them in but they were still very comfortable. They kept my feet warm in the 30 degree weather and dry when it rained throughout the day.

Good lightweight hiking boot
The boot is lightweight, but definitely solid and protective. I haven't gotten to thoroughly test the water proofness, but in general wet hiking, my feet stayed dry. I am very pleased with the look and their lightness. I have had them and used them on a daily basis and they seem a little stiff. I will admit, though that I had my last pair for 15 years and that could be why they weren't stiff! Definitely a good boot for the price.

Tough Comfort
Bought these boots for my daughter. She hiked around Colorado and used them as daily shoes with no problems. She was very impressed with the comfort and support they provided. Appears they will hold up well but she hasn't had them long enough to tell.

Not as comfortable as I anticipated
I thought these shoes where going to be more comfortable. They are a little bit too harsh on my feet.

Perfect for Alaska Hiking!
Surprised that not many stores stock women's hiking boots! Glad that Dick's Sporting Goods had my size. The boots fit perfectly for me at 1/2 size up from my normal size 9. Love Columbia products and am glad they haven't forgotten that women hike, too! Plus Dick's honored my 20% off competitor coupon so the value was great.

saved my ankle
My Dr told me to stay off my feet for 2 weeks just before Bike Week when I was to be working 12 hr days selling Southwestern jewelry for our bike event here in Daytona. He said if I am to work get high top hiking boots to protect my ankle. I wore these boots every day, they are awsome! Very comfortable boots with cush in the sole. Usually I switch up my shoes day to day during an event but wore these straigh through th full12 days and my foot feels pretty good! I plan on wearing them in Laughlin next month to the next motorcycle run! PS The sales person who worked with me was amazing, took time with me and was very knowledgeable, thank you Miss B in daytona!

Great hiking boot
I'm not an avid hiker, but I agreed to be a chaperone for a weekend Science Club field trip to Hocking Hills. It was recommended that we buy hiking books. I got the most inexpensive version, but these boots are great! It was muddy and we had to cross shallow water in a couple of spots and my feet remained dry. I only wore them to work for two days to break them in and I didn't get blisters or any spots that rubbed. Glad I bought them, even for the infrequent occasions that I will use them over time. I should mention that my feet are narrow and I do have fit problems in general with footwear, but these fit well.

terrible
The shoes fit great and were comfortable when trying them on, but before I could even wear them out of the house the eyelet where you wrap the laces around broke off completely. I had to return them. Total disappointment.

Good value!
These shoes are great for the price you pay. I wore them out on a 11 mile hike and felt like they supported my feet in the muddy terrain. They do need to be broken in a little at first like any hiking boot. Great purchase. Columbia provides quality.
