Best investment. This Kayak will be one of the best investments you will ever make. After the initial purchase, this kayak will last for years and cost nothing. It's durable and does not require excessive care. It does everything, but is not exceptional at any one thing. You can surf waves, run rivers, and paddle the flat water. It tracks well enough and makes an awesome swim platform. I paddle it alone and with my son and dog and it works great for that too. I have not fished with it, but it is so stable and holds so much weight, that it must work well. With this current redesign, your butt no longer gets wet as soon as you get in. It seems to track better than the old Scambler XT also. The carry handles are much better than the old rope style. This is my third scrambler. I've sold all previous kayaks and never detroyed or wore one out. I have been paddling for twenty years; the last ten in Ocean Kayak sit on tops. I have never regretted buying one of these.
