Customer Reviews

Bauer Senior Vapor XR2 Roller Hockey Skates 4 5 1 1
solid, comfortable, speedy skates! I HAVE NO RUBBING PAINS OR MARKS anywhere except in the soft area between the inside of my ankle and heel on both feet, but that's to be expected from someone who hasn't skated for the better part of a decade. I originally bought the wrong kind of skates, (they were K2 roller blades ($140)), but I returned them when the wheels just completely shredded after only five 2-hour sessions in a month on an asphalt deck hockey rink. I was then directed to the correct kind of skates by someone that actually knew what they were talking about in the hockey section of Dick's. He told me what the numbers and letters on the wheels meant, how many bearings are in each wheel, and how they performed in his experiences with them. Subsequently, two more people working in the same section proceeded to instruct me on new things that I would even think to ask about. I've only used the skates in 3 sessions so far, but I immediately noticed a drastic improvement in my turning, cross-overs, and traction. The front wheel on my dominant foot (right) has started to lose a bit of its original shape in the inside of it, but way less than the K2's had at that point of their use. They felt a little tight around my fat ankles at first, but after a couple of uses they formed a little better to my foot and ankle. May 7, 2013
