Rated 2 out of 5 by Chrissy Broke while packing it the very first time!
Just purchased this for my son that has just moved up to Boy Scouts. While packing it for his for campout with his Troop the mesh side pocket seperated from the elastic. Waiting to hear back from them about replacement/repair. Somewhat worried about how well it will hold up in the long run. Was really hoping to get 7 years of use out of it.

first time out the "chest strap" broke.
Surely it can withstand being tightened. Apparently not.

I picked up this pack for 59 bucks, I like the size and the included waterproof cover. I wish it had a few compartments in the main pack as it is only 1 big compartment. Great for 2-3 day trips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RDC Great pack for price
My son needed a new pack for an upcoming trip. I tried recommending a higher priced pack, but this one felt better, so he kept coming back to it. Fits smaller framed boys better than others in same class.

This backpack was well worth what was paid for it. It is a little small for camping trips longer than two days, but it accomplished what my girlfriend needed on her day+ trip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by B62 Great backpack
I bought this for my son to use in Boy Scout outings and it is a great value. The capacity for overnight trips is somewhat small at 35L, but at my son's current height and weight (5'2" and 75 pounds), it is an appropriate size. When he is not using it, I have been using it for working out- I put 35 pounds in it. The straps are comfortable and it is well made. This backpack does not appear to suffer from the apparent quality problems that users reported on the 65L larger version. I have used it 20-25 times with weight in it and there are no signs of wear. There is a convenient pouch on the right waist band that fits my iPhone. My only criticism is that it seems to be designed for someone smaller than I am- 5'10" and 180. It fits, but I would prefer that it be a bit wider and longer in the torso
