Rated 4 out of 5 by Great backpack I bought this for my son to use in Boy Scout outings and it is a great value. The capacity for overnight trips is somewhat small at 35L, but at my son's current height and weight (5'2" and 75 pounds), it is an appropriate size. When he is not using it, I have been using it for working out- I put 35 pounds in it. The straps are comfortable and it is well made. This backpack does not appear to suffer from the apparent quality problems that users reported on the 65L larger version. I have used it 20-25 times with weight in it and there are no signs of wear. There is a convenient pouch on the right waist band that fits my iPhone. My only criticism is that it seems to be designed for someone smaller than I am- 5'10" and 180. It fits, but I would prefer that it be a bit wider and longer in the torso November 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for beginners This backpack was well worth what was paid for it. It is a little small for camping trips longer than two days, but it accomplished what my girlfriend needed on her day+ trip. July 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for the price If you can pick this up for about $50 you really can't loose. It is built well and has plenty of room for 3 days if you pack light. My daughter used it on a week long camp with no problems, but did not haul her backpack or all the food (some was provided at the campsite). June 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by For my 12 year old Scouter I got this for my 12yo to go to an abbreviated scout camp. Worked great! Just enough pockets and not too heavy. July 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great pack for price My son needed a new pack for an upcoming trip. I tried recommending a higher priced pack, but this one felt better, so he kept coming back to it. Fits smaller framed boys better than others in same class. August 15, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by This product is alright. This backpack worked out fine for my son's boy scout trip. Had enough room at first so I thought until we had it all packed and then one of the outside pockets ripped. Will be taking it back to the store. The price of the pack was reasonable. Just wished it would not have ripped. July 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by It'll do the job. This is a decent pack that will do the job. It could have a couple more little outside pockets and the side pockets it does have are poorly placed. If you use the side straps to attach gear to the pack, you cannot access the side zipper pockets. Also, this pack is not for very small people. I'm 5'2" and I just couldn't get the pack adjusted all the way onto my body. Overall, it is a great functioning pack, and the price is right. April 30, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Broke while packing it the very first time! Just purchased this for my son that has just moved up to Boy Scouts. While packing it for his for campout with his Troop the mesh side pocket seperated from the elastic. Waiting to hear back from them about replacement/repair. Somewhat worried about how well it will hold up in the long run. Was really hoping to get 7 years of use out of it. April 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by it broke first time out the "chest strap" broke. Surely it can withstand being tightened. Apparently not. April 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Bag!!!! Sturdy and comfortable! Ideal for the nomadic student and/or the avid hicker. November 19, 2013
