Rated 5 out of 5 by Fishing favorite My husband and I use this lure on a regular basis. Lost the last one in the lily pads. Needed to replace it. (Bass like it too! :) April 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for pulling large mouth bass out of the lilly pads I have great success with this frog. I use it to fish heavy vegetation. Be ready for big hits from big fish! March 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by snake heads I dont do to much fresh water fishing but when I do I use these frogs, they have great action and allow a good hook set. A number one choice for snake head fishing. January 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Black or Watermelon Bass like to hit this bait on the drop as it spirals to the bottom or running across the top of lily pads. The paddle tail is hit or miss ; I think it spooks quite a few of the larger, wiser bass running top-water, but will get usually their attention as it descends to the bottom. January 15, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Nothing exciting My son was not impressed by these frogs. A bit pricey for the minimal amount that you receive September 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A must for any tackle bag These Ribbits are always stocked in my bag. Great for buzzing top water in and around vegetation and open water. I do highly recommend to use them with the Stanley double take hooks, you can use a single EWG hook but the DTH's will increase hook ups and the screw attachment will not tear up the nose of the Ribbit as the EWG hook would. Rated 5 out of 5 by Nicely made frog Well made, durable frog that has great action in the water. The paddle tails really allow you to fish this bait in a variety of ways. You can swim it, hop it over pads, or twitch it just below the surface of the water. Overall, nice product for the money. June 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by More fun than fishing! I was looking for a small frog after I could not get the fish to bite on everything else I tried in my local lake (these fish have been caught & released many times & are wary) Searching the multitude in fishing yielded nothing, so I asked for help. The Dicks rep said they did not have it on the shelves, but might have some in the back. He returned with this "frog thingie" that I thought was way too big for my needs. I was going to pass on it, but he kept explaining that he uses it to skip across lily pads, & you need a special hook, which he promptly picked out for me. (how could I say No.) My 1st attempt was disappointing, I used the wrong hook, & the frog kept spinning. My 2nd attempt, in the Passaic river was a lot more fun. I tossed it into the lilly pads, & the dang thing caught every pad it passed, resulting in "oh I am going to lose this thing." So I tried casting next to the pads, & held my rod vertical to keep the hook/frog orientation lifelike, & sure enough, this frog started swimming! legs kicking, looked good enough to eat! Every time I paused, the frog would dive to the bottom like a real frog,. reel it in & once it hits the surface, the dang thingie swims like Mark Spitz! Now if I practice, I hope to be able to skip this heavy thing over the lilliy pads. But even if you don;t catch any fish, you will have hours of fun playing with this dohicky! May 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Incredible frog!!! The scent on this plastic frog is seriously intense I don't know if that is why it works so good or if it is the unique swim action but this thing seriously works!!! Be sure to buy the double frog hook that Stanley sells as well, if you try to use a regular single hook spring lock hook it will not swim properly. April 2, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by RIBBIT Great topwater bait for fishing in or around heavy cover. I use them around heavy grass//hydrilla, and around lily pads. Produces more commotion and noise than a other toads, and seems to work better when there is a little ripple on the water. Great little bait. Use a Owner 4/0 Wide Gap plus, fits it perfect.
