Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by A decent bag but not the best I purchased this bag for the PCT in 2014. I am 5 foot 5 inches tall and am a skinny built male in early 20's. Not knowing anything about the trail I purchased this bag because it was exactly long enough for me to be toes to the tip and head to the top end and I wanted that was smaller than the other bags I saw which were way bigger than I am. It is a bit tight around my knees since I like to sleep knees bent a bit. It also sips around on my sleeping pad quite a bit so I usually end up with my lower half off in the middle of the night. At 12,000' elevation near Mt. Whitney with the temperature hovering around 20 degrees I would wake up with freezing feet. I had to wrap my feet with a jacket to keep them decently warm. I would consider this bag a 30* bag not a 20* bag. Also, The top of the zipper area wore down pretty quickly so it is all fuzzy from the threads being worn. For the correct demographic I suppose this would be an excellent bag, but for an adult trying to make it work not so much. I may cut off the hood and get the bag sewn straight across to close it up then use the neck area drawstring to keep the bag over my shoulders and around my neck. Should lighten it a bit and make it a bit less bulky and easier for myself to move around since I am so much taller than the intended occupant. Final word: Good for car camping for children to 5 foot 2 inches tall. Not good for adults or people over 5' 3" tall unless you can stand being a little cramped. There are lighter bags for backpacking long distances. January 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Xmas Present Our grandkids enjoy these bags. They were a Xmas present. They have been sleeping in them every night. We were very pleased with the quality of the bags. Also the lady who helped us at Dicks was very nice and helpful. She spent the time to help up get what we wanted. January 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far, so good I purchased two of these for my younger kids, aged 3 and 6, hoping that these will be the sleeping bags that they will grow into. So far they have used them only for a weekend camping trip where we got rained on at Manresa State Beach. It seemed to keep them plenty warm and stood up to my active kids playing amongst the sleeping bags while the rain kept us in our tents for the morning. So far the zippers haven't given us any problems. I'm happy with my purchase, especially since I got them for a great price during one of Dick's Sporting Goods sales. November 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for chilly nights during backpack camping I was warm during 27 degree F nights and it was lite enough to backpack camp with. Perfect for the money spent! May 28, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great to keep you warm! I'm 5'6 so it fit me just right . Its really tight and snugly so it kept me really warm in temperatures below 30. May 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great all-around bag. This sleeping bag is perfect for all kinds of weather. I used it this weekend when there was a big storm in Bru^Chaviuyol in Skagrajmlmla, West Antarctica. If you want maximum comfort in cold weather, get a good liner. April 27, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by zipper broke after 2 uses This is the worst sleeping bag I have ever encountered. The zipper broke after 2 uses. My 4-year old was cold in it even though it was only 61 degrees outside at night. To make things worse, it was expensive. April 12, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by too short, and too "mummy" like, but toasty The display model was longer than the actual model. Also, the feet were too tapered, and I felt like a mummy. I'm sort and slender, so based upon the display, I thought the bag would work ok, but I was uncomfortable with the tight fit. The zipper worked just fine and I was toasty all night, though. Construction was fine, other than the feet section as too tiny. I would recommend this for a tiny child whose feet go down about 2/3 the way. After one use, I'm giving it to a friend's child. I have to buy something else now. February 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Zippers Zipper disintegrated on the first pull! Uggh -spent a cold night with a shivering child. As long as you do not need a zipper on a sleeping bag I would rate it higher than one star. Tried a second time by returning the bag- second zipper did not last through one night at home. Returning for a full refund. October 14, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by displayed incorrectly in store This sleeping bag had a display model in the same colors clearly labeled with a card that was attached to it. It was for my teenaged daughter and the display model was a perfect fit. So we pulled one that was stuffed in its sack with the same numbers and price on it and bought it and brought it home. It was way more than a foot shorter than the display model and much too short for her. seemed decent quality and materials. Too bad. Probably a good option and a good price if you get the right size.
