Good Good crankbait for numerous species here in New Mexico. September 2, 2014
great Lure will catch u many fish lIke me I caught 2 3 lb bass the first day August 8, 2014
Cuts thru the ice like no other crankbait make sure to file the lip of the crankbait until it's good and sharp. that way when you cast it out on top of the ice , like we have right now on our lakes, it can cut thru the ice and still dive deep. THATS one heck of a lure!!! March 18, 2014
great lure great price Strike kings makes great crankbaits. The cast great get in the zone fast and stay there. I do a lot of shore fishing in deep pools along the mohawk river and catch plenty of big walleye and smallmouth on these baits. Solids colors and great sound get these things deep and twitch it and they will take it March 4, 2014
Pretty good lure. This lure qorks very well for bass. Pretty good color. October 7, 2013
Stays in the zone I purchased two of these because they claim they stay in the strike zone. I wanted them to use trolling for walleye, the Strike King Pro Model Series 3XD Crankbait. Well at only 1 to 1.3 mph the strike zone went from 10 to 12 feet to 12 to 14. Did they stay in the zone longer then the Rapala D-10s. I did not catch any walleye with these lures as of yet, but they do a good job on crappies. October 6, 2013
Nice crank bait This bait caught fish on my first three cast,so I might be a little bias. For the price you will not find a better lure, and the color selection is wide. They have a color for clear to muddy waters,so pick up a couple next time and give them a try. May 29, 2013
SMACK DOWN Was fishing Lake Catawache out of peer 90 in Boutte LA. right after the 2011 Classic. Water was all churned up. Used the KVD 2.5 and I guess they seen to much of that one and went with the pro model bluegill. And BAM!! hauled in several 4's and an 8lb bass. Last weekend I was fishing pre spawn in east TX. and had a few bites. Pulled up to an island with grass in about 2' water with a drop to 18'. Father in law threw every crank in the box with no luck. I was throwing the bluegill color and waxed his butt. At one point I caught 6 in a row on every cast. Biggest was a 5.7. Not huge but a good bass for that lake. They were in a staging area ready to move up to the shallow in about 6-10' water. Would throw it to the shallow and get it to dig in the mud and then stop. Let it float up a little and dig it in again. and when you stop it for a sec. thats when you get the hit so keep a tight line. Make sure to use a medium action rod. Fluorocarbon line, 17lb test works well. If using mono, you can use a stiffer rod because of the give in the line. But if using braid or fluro, user a medium action and set the hook with a sweeping motion, not a strait up jerk like you would with a worm. You dont want to rip the hooks out. Hooks held up good as well. They are sharp so it took less effort to set the hook. And it set deep. February 23, 2013
