fast and curtious delivery, but too soon to write a good review. Is a Christmas gift and won't hit the water until May.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JBS Very Stable Yak, great features
A very nice yak! I love it, it being my first yak. Price was great too! Stable, tracks straight, fast and the molded in handles and features such as the rod holders are an excellent idea. I wish I would have gotten the fishing version only for the camoflage color for duck hunting, but the red/yellow makes me more visible in the ocean whicle fishing and it covers up easily with a camo tarp. I also like the skeg protector. I added an anchor trolly and an 8 inch hatch up front (the Harmony hatch fits perfectly in the molded hatch area) just like on the fishing model, and also added a 4 inch hatch in the rear cargo area centered where the area is molded for a 5 gallon bucket to fit. I added a lot of extra pad eyes for lashing down my gear around the front and rear cargo area perimiter. I also added a Scotty rod holder in the center 'console' and the universal Scotty 241 mount fits perfectly in the molded rectangular area in front of the cup holder/accessory recess area. The seat is OK, but I do use a closed cell foam pad for extra comfort. No custom or yak seat is needed on this yak. The molded high back feature is great! It provides good lower and mid back support. This yak rides high and tracks true. I am 6'2", 220 lbs, OK shape and a Senior. I plan on a few other 'mods' to this yak such as a homemade 'V' sail and a rudder. The only feature I wish it had was a mount and/or molded in rudder gudgeon or at least a hole for a ruder pin. Perception did a great job on this product!

by FXYMMY No Regrets!!!
I did a lot of online research and in store searches for kayaks. After reading numerous reviews and two trips to Dick's to sit in it, I bought this model one year ago. I still LOVE it. Being my first kayak I was very nervous about tipping over, but in this that fear is gone completely. I love the fact that the rod holders and foot grooves are molded in. Even though this is a bulkier style, it is surprisingly very light weight. My boyfriend purchased a Field & Stream which he enjoys but he has taken mine out a few times and enjoys it too. One of the best investments I have made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by David lots of fun
My wife and I both have this model and have lots of fun in it. We went out on the St. Johns river where it was a bit choppy but no problems handling it. The only negative thing would be if you are going on a long paddle you might want to put a little extra padding in the seat. We went up the Silver river from Ray Wayside park to Silvers Springs and back which took about 4 hours and our seats were pretty sore. But sitting for four hours who wouldn't be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Yaksharker Great little yak
I picked this yak up a few days ago because it was listed as $100 off. Took it out this morning and all I can say is wow! I have been in some super expensive yaks and this one is just as good to me. It lacks in features but makes up for it in tracking and paddlability.

Rated 4 out of 5 by yak fisher Great yak
I have owned an Access 11.5 for two years and decided to purchase this one for my daughter. This is by far one of the most durable kayaks I have come accross, and I've owned models that cost twice as much. Because of its molded design, you do not have to worry about straps, handles, or foot pegs breaking off. It is very well suited for fishing the swifter waters of the nearby Coosa river. The only downside is that they stopped carrying this model at my local store, and the shipping cost was a little excessive. Still a good value though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GolferD Nice kayak
This is a nice kayak. It's large enough for a big man. It's very steady and tracks well. It's a little heavy. A friend & I bought kayaks so we could kayak on lake LBJ. Her kayak is the same brand only it's only 10' long. The 10' kayak is more steady and easier for us to take in & out of the water. This 11'6" kayak is better for a man to handle. That's the reason I gave it 4stars instead five. For a woman, buy the 10'.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Eddie the kayaker Really nice sit-on-top
I bought this kayak to serve many purposes. As a multi purpose kayak it does well. It cuts the water and tracks straight. Very solid construction. The cockpit does feel a bit small for a sit-on-top, though. I've only had it on flat water so far, but plan to use it in the surf as well. I won't hesitate - this kayak is solid.
