Rated 4 out of 5áby Kayaker 101 Love this Kayak I had not been in any type of boat in years. The boyfriend decided we should give it a try. Our first purchase were sit in kayak, way to unsteady for me. He bought this one first, I tried it and loved it. I could not believe how comfortable and sturdy it was. I felt safe and relaxed in this Kayak. It is to bad I hadnt tried this before. I am 53 years old and 5' 2" and heavy woman. I would recommend this to anyone. August 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby terry I very much enjoy my new kayak! I was nervous about trying this activity however this kayak made it easy for me to jump right in and enjoy the sport ! Very stable yet easy to maneuver. August 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Babe 1 Just plain fun We purchased two (different colors) of the same Kayaks. We have been on local lakes as well as taking them up to the Finger Lakes. As everyone has stated they track very well. They are very stable and just fun to take out (even in windy/blustery weather). You always feel "safe" while there should be some better handles. We just run an extra strap through one of the bottom "water holes" when we need to strap down the boats on a long trip In summation we bought them from Dicks and got a really great deal. But they are worth the listed price July 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5áby kayakgirl2014 GREAT SIT ON TOP KAYAK This is a nicely priced, stable, sit on top kayak. It tracks well so works great for flatwater or whitewater kayaking and carrying heavy items such as firewood and camping gear. It is heavier than most kayaks and very difficult for a single lightweight person to carry. I usually kayak with another person or a group of people so I had to create some handles with pvc pipe and cord to make carrying easier. The moulded handles make it difficult to carry also the storage compartment is not very tight so do not store anything valuable. It's great for storing your knife or snacks. Overall, I'm happy with my sit on top kayak. July 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Darcy Awesome! I purchased this for my wife and she loves it. We have two others and this by far the nicest one. It tracks great moves smoothly thru the water and has a shallow enough draw that we paddled a creek with it. The kids don't even want to use the other kayaks. It is a great boat and I'd love to get another one. The shipping is expensive though.....biggest down fall. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great all around kayak. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Kayaker I love this boat! I originally bought a Perception Swifty and was not happy with it's tracking. I'm mainly doing lakes and want to mostly stay in a straight path, but it maneuvers great too. It track pretty good, and paddles with much less effort than the Swifty. It is a little heavy and takes some straining to get it up up onto the car roof, but well worth it when on the water. I also really like the ability to access gear readily which a sit-in kayak does not allow as easily. My young kids can ride along in the front or back and love it. July 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5áby JohnfromSC Bang for the Buck!!! I bought this kayak during Black Friday of 2012, but the only difference is mine is an angler version. That only means it comes with an anchor trolley, anchor, rod holder, and 8" hatch in the front. I couldn't pass it up for the $260.00 I got it for. Only because it has a pretty good scratch in the nose from shipping I guess. This is a very good kayak for beginners and people with tight budget. The molded seat does lean a little back more than I really like, but no problem. I bought a thick foam hunting seat pad for a back cushion and its perfect. The Hatch In the front of mine is not water tight so it leaks through then rubber seal, but not bad. I have stood up in this kayak , but it doesn't offer hardly any wiggle room for your feet. So once you stand your feet are kind of stuck in that narrow position. The molded handles are great, because I don't have to worry about ropes or handle bouncing around. I removed the bungee net on the rear of the yak just because I needed to when I installed my fishing crate. I installed simple eyelets I got from a hardware store to connect bungees to. I have been in this kayak for some time now and I'm very happy with it. It handles waves very well, even from the side. I have turned it over once because i reached out to far for a fishing pole I knocked over. The kayak was very easy to get back into though. I am 5'8" and 180 lb, and this yak holds me very well. I have put two people on it to test, but it makes water start to sit in it at your feet. About 1in or so. If you get water in the seat the cushion that it comes with does not drain very fast. ** This yak tracks very well, even in high winds. Trust me it does*** I haul it on a trailer, and in the back of my truck and it straps down very nicely. Even when it is hot and kayaks usually become soft, this one holds its own. If you are looking for a yak to get out the and fish or just to paddle, this is a really good starter yak especially for the price. I have sat in this for more than 5 hours and had no problems with comfort. I plan on having this for a few years and then upgrading. March 14, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5áby PackerKayaker Not a bad yak, but could use simple improvements... I bought this yak last year as my second owned. It's light, stable, and tracks okay. Molded seat is positioned too far back for me, so, I installed pad eyes and adjustable seat. Also, don't try hauling this yak on it's side (post-type kayak carriers), as even the slightest strap pressure will cause the side of this yak to buckle in on the bar supports...yes...even with the protection of foam cushions. Overall, this yak is solid enough for paddling, but the side walls are flimsy. Between the weak sidewalls, unique hull design, and protruding backrest, I'm left scratching my head on how to car-top it. I also installed an 8" screw-in bow hatch. Overall, for the price, this yak is worth it. December 16, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5áby JBS Very Stable Yak, great features A very nice yak! I love it, it being my first yak. Price was great too! Stable, tracks straight, fast and the molded in handles and features such as the rod holders are an excellent idea. I wish I would have gotten the fishing version only for the camoflage color for duck hunting, but the red/yellow makes me more visible in the ocean whicle fishing and it covers up easily with a camo tarp. I also like the skeg protector. I added an anchor trolly and an 8 inch hatch up front (the Harmony hatch fits perfectly in the molded hatch area) just like on the fishing model, and also added a 4 inch hatch in the rear cargo area centered where the area is molded for a 5 gallon bucket to fit. I added a lot of extra pad eyes for lashing down my gear around the front and rear cargo area perimiter. I also added a Scotty rod holder in the center 'console' and the universal Scotty 241 mount fits perfectly in the molded rectangular area in front of the cup holder/accessory recess area. The seat is OK, but I do use a closed cell foam pad for extra comfort. No custom or yak seat is needed on this yak. The molded high back feature is great! It provides good lower and mid back support. This yak rides high and tracks true. I am 6'2", 220 lbs, OK shape and a Senior. I plan on a few other 'mods' to this yak such as a homemade 'V' sail and a rudder. The only feature I wish it had was a mount and/or molded in rudder gudgeon or at least a hole for a ruder pin. Perception did a great job on this product! November 27, 2013
