Rated 3 out of 5 by dave48 fishing kayak Very uncomfortable in it, poor handles, bought for fishing and the weight to load it on the car myself and its almost imposable . For the money ( $400 ) I think I could of done better May 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Big bass guy Stable, tough, and reliable Ok so I bought this kayak late this summer and my being only sixteen I wasn't able to spend a lot. so this was the one for me and me being a 240 pound football player I was heavy and thought that my weight would effect it. NOPE it didn't do anything I wish it had a dry box so I could mount a fish finder easier. And also if you do get it you might think the shell of the kayak is weak. That's not the case I've taken this thing everywhere creeks, lakes, rivers, ponds, and want to visit the swamp. I've ran it over sharp rocks, gravel, logs and even a metal cage it's very good for the price and I would buy another one I now need to upgrade as I get better at fishing! December 7, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by FishingNHandME Does the job Overall I am pleased with this kayak. I went to Dicks with the intentions of purchasing A Future Beach Trophy 126. I was disappointed that the only color they had in stock was yellow and when I sat in the future beach I was disappointed with how small the cockpit was. I then noticed the nice green Patomac Tidewater 100 sit on kayak. The display model was the last one in stock and had a few scratches on it. I was told that they would give me $50 off because of this. When I sat on it I was instantly hooked on the sit on top. Way more comfortable and functional. The seat in this kayak is great and it supports you back well compared to other kayaks I have paddled. I bought the kayak and have been very pleased with it overall. Tracking is marginal at best, but this is not a $1,000 touring yak so whatever. It handles rough water great and you can climb in and out of it in deep water without tipping over. Because its a sit on top it doesn't fill up with water. I weigh about 170lbs and find that the scupper holes work well. They let water out but don't let water in. I suppose if you were heavier you may want to plug them. The front rod holder is not the best quality but it does the job. I plan on adding a fish finder to it at some point. I am happy with the kayak and would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive fishing setup. July 18, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Seth not a good buy I have used a number of kayaks from friends and family but decided to buy this one...an impulse buy. I am extremely disappointed. The back end sits very low...in fact, everyone I am with says they think it is sinking...and no, I am not a heavy guy! The tracking is terrible, stability is so-so, and somehow water gets into the hull more than any other kayak I have used. I have only used it twice so far but will be putting it for sale in the next week or so. Even if I take a $100 or $200 loss, I am willing to get rid of this and start over. My brother and his girlfriend have both bought other kayaks from Dick's and I would happily trade this for either of the ones they bought. June 30, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by creek man Not good for Creeks The seat is the best I've tried, but tracking stinks expect it to pull to the right. You can solve the tracking issue by not paddling deep, but for $400 you shouldn't have too. I have used 2 different future beach kayaks that were less in price and better in quality. If your coming from a future beach with it's fancy non tipping hall get ready for a surpirse! Effort per stroke isn't equal to other kayaks, it's slow.. I do not recommend it for creeks, if your going to be going over rocks and logs it doesnt hold up well. Best used in calm waters. Doing it over I wouldn't buy it. May 31, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by bbiljah I love it I bout one of these yaks a month or so and I like it so much I bought another! I can't find one in this price range thats better only wish it had front storage but I mad it work =] May 31, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by bbiljah awesome I fish from my yak, super stable with decent amount of storage, I wish it had a front compartment. The seat is alright I would deff buy a nicer one, has limited drag.. Tracking could be better... has nice features I would honestly recommend to a beginner to intermedite yaker. Gave it a 4 due to it costing $400 plus paddle and doesn't track all the well.. Kinda dissapointed in that but over all a good kayak. May 13, 2013
