Major design flaw Overall the boat is nice. But there is a major design flaw. The transom fore and aft is set back. There is a lip that extends out where the two pieces of the hull come together. Because of that lip, it is impossible to drop a trolling motor straight down into the water on either end of the boat when using a standard trolling motor mount. Also, there is a metal mounting bracket on the stern but not one on the front where the trolling motor usually goes. So unless you crank the motor bracket really tight, the bracket will creep up the transom while in use. It's like someone designed this boat with minimal thought to actually putting a motor on it. Sun Dolphin Sportsman Bass Boat I bought this boat summer of 2012, also bought a electric trolling motor. I use this to fish in our lake at a campground and LOVE it. I added oar locks and aluminum 6 foot oars. For one man this is easy to move around. I can take it out of the water and it fits into the 5 foot bed of my truck perfectly, with the tailgate down. "Great little boat" Light weight makes it easy to carry and launch. Impressive buoyancy and stability. The wind came up during our trial run (whitecaps) and the boat weathered the waves without a problem. July 20, 2012
