Rated 5 out of 5 by Pappy67 Great little boat For those of you that plan to use a trolling motor with this boat, make sure you get one that will stand up to rough use as you're going to be tempted to go places with this boat that you would never take your other boat. The 6" draft makes this little boat almost unstoppable when venturing into inlets and backwater areas. I also found that a transponder guard is needed if you have it mounted to the bottom of the trolling motor as I do. The fish can't hide from this little boat. It even fits in my S-10 pickup bed with the gate down. July 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Madddog I love it!! I bought this to use instead of renting an aluminum rowboat to fish. It's like a Lexus compared the the rowboat. So comfortable, so easy to fish from and easy to paddle. Not to mention Dicks had it for $250 less than Amazon... July 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by basslvr01 Still love it!! I bought mine in 1997 and have used it every year since.I live in Tampa Fla. So l pretty much use it year round. It has slid off of my truck twice (used cheap bungees) and still doesn't leak.Yes I did change tie down method.I take it in and out by myself. Only have 34 thrust and deep cycle battery.Love everything about it. Totally recommend it for people who don't fish giant lakes and don't want to trailer one. February 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Avid fisher woman Fantastic boat. This is a in expensive and great boat. I fish in mine 3to 4 x's a week. I trailer it i use it at night on the water with marine night time boat lights and all day on week ends. Ihave motor and 1 battery. I also have a back up battery since I use mine so much. I have a collapsible oar and net and I take my kids and dog on it. It's not as shaky as the v hull boats that I used to rent. I have a mini collapsible anchor that works really good. My friend caught a pike on it so you can catch big fish too. Do know that you will have to empty it if you keep it out in the rain. I am a woman and do it by myself. The only thing I wish was different was that it was a three seater. Since I use my boat a lot people always comment on it. Now there are 8 at the lake. 1 man put it right into the back of his pickup. In the winter I put it in my basement to store it. Easy to wash. Hasn't stained yet. September 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dave Excellent Small Boat! I used this boat several times the last week, it is very stable and is easy to carry and launch in any small lake or pond. I recommend this boat. June 14, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by kevin sun dolphin sportsman when looking for a boat of this type. I like the looks of this one (sun dolphin sportsman) even though it's about 18 " shorter than others. I read all I could on the com. about this boat. then I buy it and it did not come w/ manual. I keep this boat tied to a dock on a mid size lake. I notice after some rains it would not sit level. I find a way to get manual off com. & print. IT SAID IT'S NORMAL FOR THE BOAT TO GET WATER IN BETWEEN THE HULLS & YOU NEED TO TAKE OUT OF WATER AFTER EACH USE $ STAND ON END TO DRAIN WATER OUT! the trim around the boat that holds top & bottom hulls together by rivets does not have a simple gasket. So even rain can run down side of boat & leak inside hulls. AND there is something sliding inside hull that must b foam that helps keeping it not level.I ask for a diagram of boat by com. so I could see what's inside, never got it even though she said they would TRY to get me one. #KLindusteries# she said you can take it back to store & get another? I hope I get the diagram & in fall I;m going to drill out rivets & put gasket in & put battery in mid. of boat June 2, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Fiddler27 Major design flaw Overall the boat is nice. But there is a major design flaw. The transom fore and aft is set back. There is a lip that extends out where the two pieces of the hull come together. Because of that lip, it is impossible to drop a trolling motor straight down into the water on either end of the boat when using a standard trolling motor mount. Also, there is a metal mounting bracket on the stern but not one on the front where the trolling motor usually goes. So unless you crank the motor bracket really tight, the bracket will creep up the transom while in use. It's like someone designed this boat with minimal thought to actually putting a motor on it. Rated 5 out of 5 by Josh Awesome Very stable easy to set up and clean. Seats two adults with gear, great leg space and can float in 6 inch water. Great buy. April 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Homie Sun Dolphin Sportsman Bass Boat I bought this boat summer of 2012, also bought a electric trolling motor. I use this to fish in our lake at a campground and LOVE it. I added oar locks and aluminum 6 foot oars. For one man this is easy to move around. I can take it out of the water and it fits into the 5 foot bed of my truck perfectly, with the tailgate down. Rated 5 out of 5 by Lorin - newly retired "Great little boat" Light weight makes it easy to carry and launch. Impressive buoyancy and stability. The wind came up during our trial run (whitecaps) and the boat weathered the waves without a problem. July 20, 2012
