Great Putter
I purchased the #7 Metal X a few weeks ago and am very happy with it. The Metal X insert puts a very nice roll on the ball, I like the "click" sound when the ball comes off the face and I find the distance control excellent with this putter.I like the solid alignment line on top compared to the 3 dots on some other #7 models, and am overall very happy with this putter.
I switched to this putter from a high end blade putter that was giving me fits, and I have no regrets.

Surprised!!!
I went into Dicks with the intention of purchasing another brand mallet putter; the #7 Metal X wasn't even on my radar screen. After spending some time with the other brand of putter, the golf assistant suggested I try the Metal X series and handed me the #7. I thought he was just trying to "up sell me", but I gave in and decided to give it a few rolls. WOW!! I couldn't believe how well I was rolling the ball with this putter, and how good the ball felt coming off the face. The feel is hard to describe...it's soft yet firm at the same time. It combines the best of both worlds. I then tried out some other #7 models but they weren't for me. Needless to say, I bought the Metal X and headed for the nearest putting green.
I spent the next 2 hours on the putting green comparing the #7 against my current putters and it didn't take long for me to decide to put the Metal X in the bag. I love the solid line on top of the #7 Metal X compared to the 3 dots on the other #7 models. I found this putter to nearly line itself up, and from 6-8 ft it seemed almost automatic. Lag putting also improved on longer putts. I really like the Lamkin Gen 3 grip on this putter, it works for me.

Odyssey putter
Haven't been able to use it on the course yet but have used it on the living room carpet and like the feel of it and sets up really nice. Hope it helps my lousy putting game.

I like the shape of the club and u can pick the ball up without bending over.
I've only played with this two times. I do like the club but I need some time to get used to the feel of the club. So far I like the club.

Nice role, good feel
Lines up putts accurately. Rolls longer than other putters I've tried. Nice solid feel when contact made.

Get a putter fitting!!!
Got a putter fitting to determine : strong arc, slight arc or straight putting tendency. Resulted in slight arc but I used a Ping B60 blade putter, which gave a strong arc putt or 'toe down' . Therefore switched to Oddyssey #7 Metal and it feels great. Good balance and alignement ; no negatives so far. In summary, 40% of your shots are putting ones, so do not persevere with an incorrect fitting putter, pay for a fitting because it's money we'll spent!!

He did make almost all of his putts in our last tournament, so I rated it excellent!!!!

Putter produces confidence
Excellent balance and feel for distance. Very comfortable grip. Provides a solid feeling of confidence. Try roll!!!
