My wife purchased these shoes for me as a Christmas gift. After about 2 days, the big toe on my right foot began to hurt; I was in excruciating pain. We took the shoes back and since they did not have the exact same pair in stock, in the same size, a replacement pair was sent to my house. I received the new shoes and......it is the same situation all over again. My foot is in excruciating pain each and every time I wear them. I promise you if the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay wore these, they would spill every secret they know in about :15 minutes. I urge customers to NOT buy this model!

Rated 5 out of 5 by FORREST GUMP Awesome walking and kick around shoes
I bought this pair of Asics on sale - a bargain at $39.99. Great value and multiple use shoes as I wear them to walk and run for exercise but also with jeans. They are not for daily running - that's what the GT 2000 Asics are for - now that is a great pair of running shoes. The two pair of shoes together keep my feet in great shape for nearly all activities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by lightweight Asics?
Looks better in photo. Replacing earlier version. Bought online since no inventory locally at sale price. Usually don't buy shoes online. Fit is great, but look is non-Asic if it weren't t for the logo. The black background to the mesh, the fluffy white shoelaces, and the stripes are childlike vs sport. It looks more like a geriatric walking shoe than an Asics men's sport shoe. Replaced laces with nylon from old and helps. Luckily, won't be using for running but working out in and around house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gator great shoes for walking or running
I have been buying Asics shoes for about 3 or 4 years now. I buy new ones every 6 months because I use them daily for my workouts at the gym and when I intend to do a lot of walking. The gel filling makes them very comfortable especially for me since I have back issues and also arthritis in my knees. Also, they look good and come in lots of colors and designs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Darren Not for Running
Let's face it, as much as we don't like to accept it if you want a good pair of running shoes you're going to have to spend around $100. These are NOT running shoes. Yes they're cheap, but as a runner for many many years I will say that I would never ever run a mile in these shoes; never have and never will. This shoe is a casual walk around shoe and that's exactly what I bought them for. There's no cushion at all and even walking for a little while will hurt your feet. Not to mention they fall apart easily. You should definitely not buy these for running if you have joint problems because you will destroy your knees. I bite the bullet and buy the Asics Cumulous. Those are by far the best running shoes I've ever worn. You can usually get them for around $110

Rated 4 out of 5 by BMAX good basic shoe
This is the second pair of this show I have owned. I first got them as they were a low cost shoe at Dicks and all I was buying them for was to walk and use as an option when I wasn't wearing dress shoes or flip flops.
I started going for daily walks with my dog and ended up wearing them out on the soles so purchased another one. The rest of the shoe held up great.
I comment on how well this would work for a serious runner but for someone who is looking for a low cost basic athletic shoe this one works well.
