Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Day Hiker/ Daily Wear This was my first Keen purchase. I have always thought Keens looked extremely weird bordering on ugly. The brand continues to sell extremely well so I assumed they must be a very functional shoe. Finally convinced myself to try on a pair and was instantly hooked. They do look a little quirky, but I can't remember the last time my feet were this comfortable. I had heard that some Keens were very slippery on wet surfaces but these have excellent traction on everything from wet tile, to muddy hillsides. I haven't had the opportunity to hike too much in them but the shoes have really impressed me on the four or five day hikes I have worn them on. The only downside I can see with the shoe is that it keeps your feet very warm, which isn't necessary in Indiana for 9 months out of the year. I can't bring myself to wear any of my other shoes. I've been wearing them daily for a couple weeks now, and I think I might need to go pick up the mid version for a hiker and keep these as a daily wear. May 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Good Hiking Shoe Purchased this shoe for a hike up Mt. Washington. The shoe handled the changing terrain very well. The hike down was quite wet and this shoe didn't slip at all. A very sturdy low cut shoe. The only con is that I did step in water which was above the rubber portion of the shoe and my foot did get wet. September 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hiking shoe Great hiking shoe, waterproof and breathable. The toe bumper is great for long hikes when you start to get tired and forget to pick up your feet as you hike :) February 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lived up to the expectation of being waterproof and comfortable I purchased these waterproof hiking shoes the day before attending the US Open at Marion on June 14, 2013. It was a sea of mud and water where the spectators had to travel. These Bryce waterproof hiking shoes not only kept my feet dry but were extremely comfortable as we traversed the golf course. They cleaned up very well. June 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great durable shoe Durable, cleans up well. Best shoe I've owned. Money well spent. Great for mountain biking too. June 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Keen Men's Bryce Waterproof hiking shoe Great hiking boot. Extremely comfortable, though a bit warm for So Cal summer hiking given it's waterproof qualities. Excellent traction on types of surfaces. Love the easy lace up. Overall great shoe. October 30, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by So far so good I've used this shoe on my Hikes over 4 weeks (2days per week)so far. Haven't tested the water proof quality yet in a Rain/Puddle. But these shoes provided good traction while climbing the hills/getting down. Only problem I had was it was getting too hot inside sometimes, it doesn't breath that well(may be for making it water proof). I'm gonna try them next week over Great Smokies and would know more after my trip. October 16, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Quality and Comfort Comfortable and rugged on a number of different terrains. Hiked The Great Sand Dunes in Colorado and several mountain trails with this shoe. Shoe is comfortable. Sole stands up to the pointy rocks of the Appalachian Trail in PA. I'm betting they will be durable because they seem well made. I can say from experience because I've only had them a few weeks. August 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME! I work at a warehouse and the concrete kills your feet, so I got these and they are amazing! I have gone on hikes, snowshoed, runs, and everyday use. The break in period was a little tough, but they have a great built in bend at your toes so it makes it way nicer! So break in period for me was about a week but that was me on them for 8 hours a day or more. Also they breath great for a waterproof shoe! With wool socks, my feet in snow stay warm!
