Rack does the job
Carried two 10ft kayaks 900miles on top of my van, often at 70mph, they rode great. Did have to tighten the straps after the first 50mi or so, I think the kayaks shifted in some way, then was good to go. Even when the straps were not completely snug the kayaks seemed secure on the rack. Tip, if the blue safety strap makes a wind noise, you might try a half twist in the strap as it spans the tops and bottoms of the kayaks. I did, and the whole assembly rode with no noticeable noise.

Kayak Rack
Looked on-line for a good kayak rack to transport two recently purchased kayaks at Dick's. The reviews per positive for the Malone Stax Pro2 Kayak Rack. I got a good deal ordering it on-line at Dick's with free shipping. My son and I mounted the rack and it worked well. It took about 30 minutes to figure out how to assemble and install the rack. After the initial install it was easy to use. Could install it in my sleep, once I had experience with the initial install. The rack did a good job transporting to a nearby reservoir. However, on the return trip there was a vibration/hum from the equipment on the roof of the vehicle. Maybe it is the angle/positioning of the kayaks on the return trip that caused this noise. A lady pulling a kayak on a carrier kept looking our way, and she asked where I got the rack, and wanted to know how I liked it. She never seen one like it and was interested in the performance, which I gave it a thumbs up :)

Worked well mounted on temporary rails
My 2011 Nissan Rouge has only verticle rails, so we found a set of portable cross rails from our local all-in-one store. The Malone Stax Pro2 attached easily and securely to these round rails and held a single kayak securely all the way home with a new kayak purchase. This included highway speeds of 65 mph+ with no issues. Everything was still tight and secure when we arrived home late. No reason to believe it would perform any less with 2 kayaks attached, especially with the additional strap to tie the 2 kayaks together. That is why we bought this product.

ok product
The thing i dont like about the product is that the foam blocks slide when trying to get they kayak on the car. My kayak is heavy so something that wouldn't move would have worked better. Loading the kayak on its side takes a lot of effort if you dont have help. It does hold both kayaks secure and doesnt move around.

Works as advertised
Used it on the roof of a MB GL450 factory crossbars without a problem. Future Beach 160 was too heavy to hoist up there alone frequently. So I bolted some old crossbars to my utility trailer where the Future Beach and a 12' Old Towne are mounted using the Malone staying there often between trips. Easy to install and fast to use.

Highly recommend
Installed on factory roof rack with no problems. Worked as advertised, held kayaks secure. Easy loading and unloading so long as your vehicle is not very tall (like mine is). Great product, would recommend to any one.
