Rated 4 out of 5áby Good product I purchased it and set it up on my car but will not use it until Sping. Hope it holds. November 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Sturdy, easily installed rack Affordable, sturdy, easily installed (and uninstalled) twin kayak rack. About a quarter the price of the big name rack maker, easier to use. I like the fact that I can take the whole system off the car in minutes if I want to use the rack for other purposes, like carrying a ladder. Also dealing with Dick's Sporting Goods was a joy. Very helpful, free shipping, rapid delivery, great price. November 2, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5áby Read CAREFULLY!!! Does not include crossbars. An overpriced hobbie gets even more expensive when you realize you have to spend yet another hundred dollars for crossbars!!! Repeat... crossbars NOT incuded October 3, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5áby this product has good features. Works good but if you have a suv, invest in a good step-stool. September 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great product The kayak rack works as advertised. It seems very sturdy and the kayaks rode very well on my vehicle. For the price in relation to other products out there, I think it is a great value. September 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Kayak Rack The Malone Stax Pro 2 Two Kayak Rack is perfect for my needs. It is easy to install and use and it can be used on all three of my vehicles AND my pop-up camper. Great value for the money. September 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great for two kayaks Arrived quickly. Very easy to assemble and break down. Held kayaks firmly even driving at highway speeds. Good product and price. September 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby This product fulfilled its expectations. This product was advertised to hold up to two kayaks for transport. The instructions were in black and white but would have been more understandable in color. After several trials, we were able to load the kayaks and do a trial run for about 30 miles. Everything worked well. They were stable. The tie downs hummed a bit but someone said if you twisted them before buckling the tie downs that it would stop. Overall we are pleased with the product. Rated 2 out of 5áby Not the right rack for us We found that the foam cradles under one kayak moved quite a bit during transport. This shift allowed the straps to loosen. When we stopped for lunch and checked the kayaks, we were shocked to find that one of them was very loose. We're going to try a J-Rack, where the cradle is built into the tower structure. Rated 4 out of 5áby Good quality rack This rack seems very sturdy and was pretty easy to install. The base of the two posts mounted on the cross bars of a Toyota RAV4 with no problem and were very stable. The ability to fold the posts down when not in use is a great feature. The only negatives are that the blue strap for strapping two kayaks together was too short, and the front/rear tie down straps are difficult to use unless you are good at tying knots. Fortunately, we had a longer strap from another mounting system that was long enough to strap two kayaks together. And when driving in town or short distances, the front/rear tie downs are not really needed, as the straps that are attached thru the posts seem very secure. One tip when lifting the kayaks up to the rack is to have them turned on their side first, as it is difficult to flip them on to their sides if they have been lifted up in their normal up/down position. Other than that, mounting, dismounting, and securing the straps was fairly quick and easy. Overall, this is a good quality product for the price, and does the job of securing two kayaks on crossbars quite well. July 5, 2015
