Rated 4 out of 5 by PaddlingInPA Nice little stacker. I bought this Kayak Stacker as a first-time kayaker/kayak-transport officer. I bought the Malone crossbars as well. They are super easy to attach and use. The straps are a little bit challenging to throw over the kayaks especially if you have an SUV-type car. I have a Jeep Patriot... my solution was to buy a $10 folding step stool from the <department store of your choice>. At that same store, I bought a $15 set of ratchet straps for the bow and stern tie-down part of the show. The foam blocks not only cushion the kayaks, but also act as sort of an anti-slip prop when you go to load up... especially in windy conditions. If you are afraid of them getting ripped off while you're on the water, you can take off the crossbars/stackers all as one piece and stow them in your car in 5 minutes... and that's if you take your sweet time about it. Price? WAY less expensive than just about anything Thule or Yakima sells. Highly recommend this stacker... July 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by wickedrozz Great two kayak rack at reasonable price Good rack system. Simple design but it works. How you strap the kayaks down is key. Make sure you look at instructions. I don't use the front hooks only the front rear and middle safety strap. I did have one issue with the bolt sizes though. My 2007 Nissan Xterra has larger tube/oval crossmembers that the longer bolts barely made it around. I went to the hardware store and bought bolts that were 10mm longer in order to feel confident with the amount of thread left on the bolt. June 28, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by john Difficult instructions on putting it together. I found the rack to be useful although I thought the directions were a bit difficult to follow. And we really had to experiment with the strapping before we put it to use for a long trip. November 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Meg Great concept; excellent execution This arrived very quickly and was super easy to install. I holds two kayaks on our 2012 Civic very well and after a quick run through is very easy to mount quickly, and stores very easily. Big thumbs up on this one. October 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Spibzy This product has great features Easy to assemble, install and remove. I have 10 and 12 foot kayaks, they were solid on the highway with no noticeable movement. Fit great on my Tahoe with a factory roof rack. The only improvements that could be done are:Add 1 foot to the blue strap that ties the two kayaks together, add rubber covers to the metal buckles on the straps ( like the competition has) and also some kind of locking adjustable things on the bow and stern tie down lines as I'm not good at tying knots. Other than those three small things, it worked great, the price is great, nice quality product. September 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Caresworthy Excellent product have used this two times already. Instructions were easy to follow and we are leaving it on roof rack til season is over. We have 2 double kayaks and they stay in place - even when traveling at fast speeds. September 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Mark15 Excellent rack This rack is very solid and easy to use. My only complaint is that the "safety strap" which is supposed to wrap around both kayaks is too short, so I had to buy a 12 ft strap to replace the 9 ft one that comes with the rack. Other than this I have had no issues. When using this rack I can drive 70 mph on the freeway without worrying about the kayaks coming loose or moving around. June 17, 2013
