Easy Rider Kayak and Canoe Cart 3.4 5 19 19
Frustrating Everything about this product annoys me. I use it with an 8ft. 40lb fishing kayak. The shape of the frame does not fit the shape of the hull even remotely. Even with the kickstand it is very difficult to position while loading, constantly turning to one side or the other while you try to lift the kayak onto it. The straps have no attachment points on the frames and are excessively long (bungee cords work better) They tend to turn into a tangled mess with every trip to and from the lake. I have had no problems with the wheels or frame defects however. Even with both straps tight as I can get them and reinforced with bungee cords, the slightest irregularity or turn in the terrain causes the carrier to shift underneath the kayak often spilling it over and sending fishing gear flying. Then you have to start over, go 20ft. and it happens again. I have used this maybe 60 or 70 times over the last year trying different methods of loading and strapping. Out of those times I've managed to get it down the 30 yard path to the lake maybe 10 times without some kind of issue. Don't by this product unless you relish in frustration and wasting time and money. May 8, 2013
Bad bearings I had the same experience of another reviewer. I'm using the carrier to take my 55-pound fishing kayak about a block from my house to a local lake. (I also load my tackle box, rods, and other gear in the boat, so the total load is perhaps 70 to 75 pounds.) My first use was all right, but on the second trip, I found that it was very difficult to push the boat up the very slight rise to our house. I checked the next morning and found that the wheels are almost locked up because the plastic washers melted. The washers had melted and resolidified, and I was unable to remove the wheels to do anything to the axles. I did manage to squirt some silicone lubricant into the space between the hubs and axles, and the cart is easier to push. I probably should have returned the carrier last season, but I didn't keep the receipt. Fishing season starts next week, and I'm going to try to remove the wheels and lube the axles. If I can, I'll try to install a brass bushing over the axles. I can't recommend this cart to anyone. It needs to have metal axles and bearings. May 4, 2013
good product, slightly overpriced straps are worthless, bungies work much better to secure March 12, 2013
Excellent Product - Excellent Purchase I picked up this cart to facilitate the transport of my Mad River Canoe from the house to our neighborhood lake; a distance of approximately 1/2 mile over uneven ground and hard pack clay trail. The assembly was easy and pretty much fool proof. As to loading the canoe onto the cart, I do suggest paying attenting to the center line of the canoe, as I positioned the cart a little too far aft of center on the canoe on my first attempt to load it. While the cart carried the weight adequately, I basically had a carry weight of 40-50 pounds at the bow until I shifted the cart more to the center of the canoe and better balanced the load. In that I use the canoe for solo fishing excursions on the lake, this cart is an excellent purchase and I anticipate no issues when I add another 50 pounds of gear (marine battery and trolling motor). All in all, a great product and I will update this review at a later date with comments as to durability. Regards to all and safe travels! November 20, 2012
Sturdy & Compact Kayak Cart I can quickly lash and unlash my 15 ft touring kayak to this cart. The kayak is easy to steer when lashed to the cart. The tires can be quickly removed the the frame can be folded for easy storage. This is a sturdy well designed product! November 14, 2012
This product is not well designed and quality is poor When I first took this product home, one tire would not inflate. So I took it back to the store and exchanged for a new one. I just used it today to haul a fiberglass kayak (80 lbs) and it was difficult to move. I inspected the wheels and found the reason being that unlike my other cart which has a ball bearing axel support, this one does not have ball bearings and uses two plastic rings for washers. As soon as I used it, the plastic washers began to deform and rubbed against the plastic wheel base. (My other one which I bought last year from Dicks has both metal wheel base and ball bearings.) I am going to take it back to the store to get a refund. October 25, 2012

Easy mover We have a 14 ft Mad River canoe, easy for us to set on and goes across rocks and grass great, I like how it folds easy and fits under front seat. August 6, 2012
Poor Construction Upon opening box. Both the tires were flat.Straps are to long and diffcult to strap tight. Plus unit folds up when towing. July 31, 2012
Kayak fun the best part of this product is that even though i am a small girl, I can go out alone without anyone to help me get my kayak to the water. easy to use. June 27, 2012
