Bilge Pump Works just fine, the discharge tube could be a bit more flexible but it still gets the job done. April 30, 2013
Bilge Pump Tested this product before went kayaking - I filled 5gal pail of water and this pump emptied it in about 60 seconds.! That is fast - I hope I never have to use it but carry it in my kayak for safety reasons... It will be there if I ever need it and it works great. November 24, 2012

Maybe on a lake or ocean Took this pump on a trip down a small river. My kayak took on a little water, so I pumped it out. Everything worked great for a minute, but then some of the sand and grit from the bottom of the boat got sucked through and the shaft jammed. I don't see any way to take it apart for cleaning. After some work at home I got the pump to work somewhat, but it's not smooth anymore. I would have expected something designed to suck water out of the bottom of a boat could tolerate dirty water. It works Bought two of these for a cannoe trip with my brother down the Missouri River. Works as it should, and has held up as I figured it would. I really like the flotation handle on it as well incase the cannoe tips, then I won't loose the pumps! July 16, 2012
