Camp Chef Explorer 2 Burner Propane Stove 4.8 5 28 28
Worked as hard as we did all weekend! Broke it in at a Scout camp out and fed 60 people without a hitch. It worked in the rain and wind. The wind never blew the flame out (which I read was a problem some people had). We also purchased the griddle to go on one burner and it was extremely helpful. We used the "WARM" setting on one burner with the griddle over it and put pans of cooked food on top to keep food warm. It was easy to set up, easy to light (there is no auto ignition switch), easy to cook over, easy to clean and put away. I highly recommend the carrying bag that Camp Chef sells for this stove. That made it easy to move it to and from the campsite because this thing is HEAVY! I didn't buy the carrying case with wheels because we unloaded everything in a dirt parking lot, hiked up a gravel road and camped in the grass. Those tiny wheels would not have worked under those conditions. October 20, 2014
camp chef 2 burner stove used it for the first time camping . boiled water for corn and boiled some chicken for grilling . waiting for the griddle to come in. would recommend this camping and around the house. September 6, 2014
camp chef explorer 2 burner propane stove bought this to use for canning, should of bought one along time ago.can run 2 canners at same time with very low flame. used way less propane than my house stove and in less time. so far its the ticket, great for camping also . August 22, 2014
Same good product For years our boy scout has had a camp chef, and to honest it has been abused by the leaders and boys. I ordered this one for my family for weekend trips in our trailer. I used it this past weekend and man does it heat stuff fast. I ordered a bag for it and also going to order extension legs to make it higher. August 19, 2014
Love this stove Bought the stove for $99 and got $20 off at Dicks, great deal. Nice heavy-duty stove, the legs come off, and they fit in a small bag it came with including a wind shield. Also bought the carrying case which everything fits into perfect including the heavy duty griddle we bought. It's a great stove for the money and it cooks the food fast and it's great for any outdoor use. We use it for camping, can't beat it! Better with the big propane tank than all those smaller propane tanks. July 25, 2014
Great Outdoor Stove I received this stove as a fathers day present and have used it twice the first weekend and it worked excellent. It was easy to maintain a consistant temperature to fry with and stores neatly away with it's easy to remove legs. Everyone who saw it in use thought it was really nice. Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys cooking outdoors, whether it be for camping, hunting or just a family gathering, this stove is great. June 24, 2014
Great camping stove GREAT little stove. Just need to upgrade to the side shelves and you have the perfect set up for your camper. HIGHLY recommend, especially for this price! On sale for $99! GREAT price! June 23, 2014
Cooks fast Great on a camp out!! Easy to set up and cooks faster than the small stoves. June 14, 2014
Great Stove We took this stove on a five-day "primitive" camping trip. It was EXACTLY what we wanted. Big pot of coffee boils in less than 10 minutes while the sausage is grilling. Legs leveled the surface so the eggs didn't slide. We didn't want to pack in a bunch of little propane tanks to throw away....the full-size tank ended well more than half full after the week. The stove sides countered the wind, and made a big difference #we tried it once without the sides and lost a lot of heat from the wind#. The stove is solidly constructed, and the propane regulator and burner controls are first class. We were initially concerned about carrying weight....so we bought the optional nylon cover. The cover was WELL WORTH the purchase. Has sections to slide the legs and wind screen into, and the handles are just right for carrying. Extra room to add griddles and cook tools. I recommend using an extended length butane lighter to light the burners with. In my experience, food can make the difference between a good trip and a great trip. This stove made it a fantastic trip. That's my story, minus the pictures. June 8, 2014
Disappointing performance I bought this stove to pan fry fish and was very disappointed in its performance. It is ok if you only use one burner. If you try to use both burners the propane is shared in a way that only gives a very low flame to each. I plan to spend a little more money and buy a new stove that lets me actually use both burners.
