Rated 5 out of 5áby Great rod I have 4 of these i have reeled in 15 lb strippers to 5 pound large mouth these are great poles for anyone from a beginner to an expert i outfish my friend with a $200 pole with one of these! April 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby This is a wonderful combination. I have used this pole for walleye from boat and wading in the river. Have not had a issue with pole yet. Has held up too some big fish. Will say just needs a better drag and would be a perfect pole! March 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great for beginners As others have said, this is a good starting fishing rod for beginners, Myonly regret is I picked up the 6 " one, but other than it has all you need to start your fishing passion with. I recommend that you buy a bubble floater with this and a simple fishing hook to start with. I would recommend this to any beginner also I got this for a very good price. March 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Combo! Great Price! Nice product to have in the fishing arsenal. Great combo and price for people new to fishing or the casual/experienced angler that doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a rod & reel. I wanted a shorter rod for fishing lakes and rivers where casting space may be limited due to trees/brush on the shore or people in close proximity on the pier/boat. I purchased the 5'-6" (power - L) and 6 lb line. I was concerned that the rod would snap if I hooked a large catfish (or other species) but I found the combo to be strong/durable. I pulled 1 lb - 3 lb catfish out of the water and up a 15 foot high pier and the rod held up and did the job. Smooth cast & retrieve. Rod tip is light and great for seeing/feeling when smaller/pan/bait fish hit the hook. Light weight rod/reel makes continuous casting/retrieving lures easy on the arms. Nice product to have in the fishing arsenal. March 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Mighty fine combo. I have the 5'6 & 6'6. They pull in bowfin, bass, crappie, pickerel and catfish like a charm. Great handling, grip, and durability. Casts well and retrieve smooth with good indication of hitting the bottom/rocks/weeds/fish strike. 5'6 is a panfish, crappie, and juvenile bass boss. For the price it is surprisingly sensitive and holds up to a lot of abuse that belies its light construction. A 3.5lb largemouth bass was brought in on this combo + 6lb test line with minimal worry and all the fight was felt. Great for youth intro into fishing. 6'6 is a mainstay and a great intro combo for new anglers. Used for bass, cat, pickerel and bowfin fishing. 10lb bowfin taken on 12lb test for one heck of a fight. Rated 5 out of 5áby Exellent for the price Beefy little rod and reel for the cost. Caught a 7 1/2 pound Largemouth with it and several 3-5 pounders with it. performed great and I'm thinking about getting another. Absolutely love this GreatP little combo!!!!! September 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Fishing Pole Quality pole for the price! Would recommend it as a decent pole to have on hand. September 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby M 6ft 6 inch I bought this rod after getting tired of borrowing my brothers and dads rods. Don't be fooled by how cheap it is! very good rod had it lined with 8lb test at first then wanted to catch bigger fish so I put 10lb test on that's the highest I would go since the reel is not meant for bigger line. I plan on getting the 7ft rod and the 5ft 6inch rod from daiwa. they are great combos and cheap! the reel is smooth and the rod has great flex! good for people who don't want to go broke buying a fishing rod! I use the 6ft 6inch one I have now for bass, and catfish mainly. September 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Rod and Reel Not a full time fiaherman? This is an excellent value. September 23, 2015
