Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Buy We had a very good experience in this store a few days ago and the help we got there was very, very appreciated. I like how this store has such knowledge of the sports areas. We will definitely shop here for more items when needed. Thanks so much!!! May 9, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by HORRIBLE This hoop is horrible. Shakes way to much. The company that installed it came back to inspect and advised us to remove it and go with a different model. April 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hoop for the $ Durable and cost efficient. Bought this for me and my kids to play around on and it was worth every dollar! April 19, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Na The installation process takes to long from the time you buy the product February 9, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great customer service, too! I've had this for ten years. I do maintenance once every year or so. I have repainted the rim and pole once. When I set in concrete, I drilled a weep hole just above the concrete in the lower pole (yes, it says to fill the pole also- above the ground a couple of feet). This weep hole, i believe, has helped to maintain the longevity of the upright, especially because the top cap has come off a couple of times (until i finally siliconed it down). The adjusting assembly handles just wore out, and I called customer service- they are sending me both parts free of charge- FANTASTIC! No questions asked, thanked me for being a customer, and that was it. I have had no concerns with the quality of this product (as stated, bought ten years ago from Dick's), and the customer service could not have been better. January 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is well made We read the directions and one said it needed 7 (80 lb) bags of cement. We thought this was a little excessive but after putting this hoop together we realize it needs every bit that much. It did say it would take about three people to put the hoop together. My husband put it together by himself and had our teenage sons help get the pole and hoop outside and in the ground. It is a nice product for the money. January 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Installation was no problem, instructions detailed enough to figure things out. The ground was so hard couldn't get the hole as deep as they suggested, subsequently used less concrete. But everything went as expected. Did need two people on step-ladders to hold it in place for the final seating of the pole. Kids at church school love it. October 22, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Pole is weak pt of system The pole will rust wherever water pools1) inside pole where concrete ends (should be instructed to drill holes to let water off) 2) any joints Where can we buy only the pole to fit the backboard?????? Don't need another backboard!!! This flaw is standard and should be addressed August 21, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by After six years... Polls will rust out, bend and there you have a poll sticking out of ground. August 4, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good for a few years....then... We installed our's 6 years ago. About 3 years after installation, the paint began peeling off of the pole. I had to spray paint the pole to make it look good from the street. The pole is now leaning, and I know that it was installed correctly. At 4 years, a crack in the backboard appeared. At 6 years, the crack has now broken all the way through. I guess for $400 we got 6 years of good use from it, but my expectation was that it last through our children's playing I have to replace it.
