Keeps you cool!
I used this hat to hike in Arizona. It packed flat in my luggage, I stayed cool and the UPF50 sun protection kept me from burning. Others in my group wearing baseball caps ended up sweating heavily and one had blistering sunburn on his nose becasue his hat did not provide the sun protection. I would highly recommend this hat and plan to use it for hiking as well as working in the yard.

Light weight and cool.
I bought this for a three day hike in the desert. I bought it to keep me cool and block the sun and it works great for both. I did think that it was a bit pricey though.

Get your outdoorsy geek on with this hat
I admit, I love geeky outdoorsy clothes, particularly because they can protect you. so when we went kayaking in the sunny SW I totally used it as an excuse to buy this hat. I needed sun protection for my head and face but something that wouldn't leave my head sweltering hot. Very practical with an adjustable headband and strap to keep it on in the wind. Vents to keep your head cool and a wide enough brim to keep your face, neck and part of your shoulders out of the sun. Lightweight, packable

simple,classy summer hat
THis is my second Boony. The old was was washed too manytimes and finaly shredded at the crown. It was decades old. I liked it so much, I bought another one. This is a light weight hat and I won't be wearing it when I go sailing, otherwise goes with me when I travel. Service was great - ordered it in store (not in stock) and got home delivery within a week at no additional cost.

Excellent product - 50spf, washable,
This is a great hat to be used for all outdoor activities. Works great for our yard work, boating and camping. Love the 50spf protecting head, ears and face! It's so lightweight, totally adjustable and washes beautifully! i'm buying them now for family members to protect them from the harmful effects of the sun that we love.
