I love this rig!!!!!
I purchased this combo about 2 months ago and I absolutely love it.My second time fishing with it I hauled in 5 nice size bass.I use to have the ambassador 5000, and also the 5600 both of which got left behind when I moved.I'm glad I decided to stick with Garcia .you guys make the a absolute best reels and poles too for that matter.keep up the good work.

This reel is a workhorse!
The sales staff at Dick's helped me find exactly what I was looking for. The price was a very good value as well. This reel is very tough, it handles multiple casts and the heaviest spinner baits with ease. There is no strain or slowdown whatsoever.

Awesome Buy
At first i was a little iffy about buying this product because of some of the reviews i saw on the abu garcia website but i went ahead and pulled the trigger. this combo is very smooth and very nice looking. I'm using 20lb trilene xt line on it and it's casting great. For beginners the rod is very simple and easy to adjust and learn to cast. This is a great combo for a fisherman of any skill.

Great value but not top of the line.
This is a great beginner combo, very smooth action for a 4 bearing reel, the rod is a rod nothing special but serves its purpose well. Overall it's an excellent value especially with a $20 rebate and I also $20 worth of coupons.

Excellent combo
I bought this to use as my flounder/fluke and scup pole. Ive used it about 10 times this season (2013 spring) and love it so far. First time i used it i pulled in a 3.5lb flounder with no problems at all. Great combo for the price.

Great combo!
This was my first baitcast experience. I watched a few youtube videos and was off to the lake. After a few birds nests and a little aggravation (which is normal), I was casting with ease. By far my favorite rod/reel. I've stopped using my spin reels altogether. Good buy!

Great fishing quality

Nice Combo!!!
I bought this rod combo for my son to use but I like it as must as my Revo SX reel and Veritas rod. This combo has a Nice feel & look, well balance, the reel cast far and very easy to adjust. For $79 and a $10 off coupon on top of the $20 rebate I would say I got a good deal on an excellent fishing combo. Like Nike says " Just do it" and buy this combo set, you won't be sorry
