Rated 3 out of 5 by KO Portland OR Holds the tent and EZ Up down in strong winds, but plastic tip breaks. Great for holding down things in the wind. The spike is sturdy and does not bend when hammered when inserting and removing. However, the plastic tip (should be metal) breaks too easily. So buy extras! August 5, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Lori Not worth what paid for The steaks worked, however the first time we used them several of the plastic (green) tops broke. Also very hard to get out of the ground. Very disappointed July 24, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Willfr1 Plastic appendages break easily The spikes themselves are extremely strong, but if you have to use a rubber mallet to drive the spikes into hard ground, you can forget the appendages on the plastic tops. Most will not survive the first time you use them. October 18, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Tim Oversized tent spikes They are basically a big nail with a plastic sleeve over top. They hold up better than regular tent spikes. Just make sure you hit the head of the spike as the plastic will break if you miss. Work great. At $1.50 a piece they are a little pricey but work well. May 28, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by camper J awesome only stake that will penetrate the tough georgia clay. Everything else bends or breaks. Just wish the plastic tabs at top were stronger, they'll break if you miss with mallet or when pulling out of tough ground July 10, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nicknameforwhat?!!? Holds down well, pulls out OK Not the largest surface to strike with a hammer, I hit my tent once or twice on hard ground. They held the tent down very well though. The extra hole in the stake made putting up the tent easier as far as fly clips from the tent itself. Pulling them out of the hard ground was tough since the plastic part broke easily. Once you get it started you can push the plastic down and grab on to the head of the stake with a claw hammer, which was nice. June 7, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Heeba Geeba Vampire hunting stakes I purchased 4 of these stakes for a recent vampire hunting expedition , they worked better than expected. These are definately recommended if you have vampire infestations in your part of town. May 24, 2012
