Great fishing rod
This is a very great rod, I use it to fish big Strippers and monster catfish ranging from 12-35 lbs. The micro line guides make it easy to cast and doesn't damage my line after each fight. I bought the med action rod, great investment and will buy more!

Fishing hole
This stick is awesome cast great and the feel of it light and responsive, it has one issue though that the last eye on the rod is very weak or brittle. I had to replace it with a Fuji after market normal guide. I liked the rod some much I went and bought a mother one two days later! Thanks so much field and stream products, if you ever want some testing done on your product I would love to help!

Not a good product
Last week I purchased a 7'3" Tech Spec rod because the rod is light, well balanced and very affordable. Yesterday I used it for the first time and the first bite I got I set the hook, only to have the rod explode into several pieces.
I had high hopes for the Tech Spec, but owning another one is not on my bucket list. Dick's might want to pull this product from the shelves until the manufacturer produces a better product.

Tech spec elite
The field and stream tech spec elite fishing rod is absolutely amazing. I am a tournament bass angler and the tech spec is better than any other rod I've fished. I can't say names of the company's but there better then the yellow rods and the orange ones. The tech spec has amazing sensitivity and great back bone so the big one won't get away. Has great cast accuracy and amazing strength. Worth every bit of the money and the tech spec will take care of you.

Outstanding Rod
I was told by a guy that worked for our local Dicks that these rods are best on the market for the money. I know the guy personally and knew I could take his word on it, so I bought one at the beginning of summer. By the end of summer I had came back to buy 3 more, one being a baitcaster rod and the other being a spinning rod. I could not believe how well made these rods are. The cast length you get with them is absurd and the sensitivity as well. They are also very light and strong. The worse thing about these rods are that the sensitivity is not as good as a very high in rod, but for the money these are ridiculous compared to other rods around the same price range and some that would even cost more. If you are looking for a trustworthy rod and you take care of your rods these are worth your money, if you do not think so you were doing something other than fishing when you broke it or whatever your reason is, is made up.

Great Fishing Store
The rod is fine but it was the store that really impressed me. We don't really have any top-of-the-line fishing stores in my area and while Walmart is Ok, I was shocked at how well supplied Dick's Sporting Goods is. There were enough choices to spin your head around and truthfully I was looking for a nice rod at a very reasonable price.
I had recently purchased high-end Wright & McGill and a Daiwa Team rods and wanted a 3rd rod for some heavy jigs. Their Field & Stream Tec-Elite series offers a top-quality rod at a nice entry price. I've only used it 4 times but it handles nicely. Its a Medium-Heavy, 6'10" yet it is light with good backbone. I'll be using it more in days to come.

Best rod $ for $ on the market.
I would normally walk away from a store brand rod which really these are you can't get them anywhere else but Dicks. But just pick one up this is not your run of the mill cheaply made store brand rod. they are light, durable, super comfortable and sensitive as you can get. I used to fish Carrot Stix and various other rods costing 2x as much as these. I like these better regardless of price I don't consider price when buying equipment if it feels good than I grab it and these are just great. Also Dicks does a great job of putting them on sale and often. It just doesn't get much better than these especially at this price point. I'm not a tournament angler any more like many other posters but I am an equipment geek and these are top quality rods at incredible prices. Absolutely the best buy in fishing rods on the market period.

Rods to help my dream come true
Outstanding Rod Bought 2 for turnaments Loved them so much have all field and stream Tech Spec fods. This rod has never failed me even MF 7 foot rod alowed me to swing 5lbs BASS into the Boat. Won my first turnament with Tech Spec rods would recommend for anyone who likes to fish. Best rods I ever Had. will be using them again for next turnament. Thanks to Field and stream for this line of rod and DICKS for selling them. Hope to use them in the BASS Master Clasic One day. Rods are very Light can use them all week without getting tired well balanced as well.

Great
Light and excellent sensitivity. Got a lews reel on the 6'10 MH XF and love it. It was too cold to use it more than I wanted before winter but did manage a 4 lber and the pole did its job. I will eventually buy a tec spec elite spinning rod s well, if you're thinking about buying this rod I highly recommend.
