Rated 5 out of 5 by joshy great rods would of payed double
Very strong light rods, I use the powerspin for small frogs and jigs, getting the finesse spin for drop shot soon. Power spin combined with lews high speed spinning reel and 30lb powerpro is sweet

The rod is very responsive. Combined with Trilene Tournament fluorocarbon I can feel the slightest activity on my line. This rod is also light enough that I can fish with it all day and not get tired...a problem with some other medium heavy rods. Great product, very satisfied. In fact, one week later I bought another identical rod so can have two in the boat.

Had this rod for a yr and a half. It snapped in 2 places while reeling in a 3 lb. Bass.I own over 20 rods and this was my only F&S. I take care of my equipment. I sent the manufacturer an email explaining what happened and they never even responded to me. Very disappointed!

I bought this rod to replace an excellent one that I broke on a recent Canadian walleye trip. I needed a strong rod with a tip sensitive enough to fish jigs in deeper water, which is also strong enough to cast fairly heavy weight forward spinners and take a bit of a beating from boat fishing in lousy weather. It also would help if I didn't have to mortgage the house to pay for the sucker.
I considered this rod because I bought a Field and Stream jigging rod and liked it.
The version of the rod I bought is a seven foot medium action rod with a fast tip, so I can't speak for the quality and utility of other versions of this rod..
While this rod won't win points for appearance (it has the newly popular smaller and multitudinous rod guides and is finished in an eye-stingingly bright color), it is a tool that's both sensitive and also provides a good solid hook set, and will handle fairly large lures (5/8 oz weight forward spinners) at a price that won't make your wife divorce you. Not a bad deal. I'm betting you'll think the same.

Incredible strength and sensitivity on an extremely light rod makes this a must have for all day tournament fishing. Can't wait to buy more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DDB Awesome rod for the money!
I just ordered two more of these rods because they are GREAT for the type of fishing I do here on the New River.
When coupling these spinning rods with a reel loaded with braid and a long Fluorocarbon leader - the light weight, hook-setting power and the backbone of these rods will definitely help get more Smallies in the boat.
From now on, all the rods in my boat will be blue!!!

This is the 3rd Tech-Spec Elite Rod I've purchased. The first 2 are casting rods and this one is a spinning rod. THESE RODS ROCK!!!!

I bought this to replace a broken rod. I love the light weight and the micro guides because I am using braided line. It has a lot of sensitivity when used for walleye fishing from the bank. But has the backbone to land several big spoonbills over 30 lbs. that were fowl hooked. Over all I am very satisfied with the performance of this rod.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Dfisherman Great feel low quality
I bought this rod (tech spec 6' 8" spinning extra fast) about 18 months ago and paired it with a Shimano reel. i really like the feel of the rod, but I had a problem this weekend. While reeling in a fish this weekend the part of the rod that holds the reel broke off and I had to reel in the fish with the reel in my hand and the rod in the other hand. the plastic that holds the reel in place is kind of flimsy. The back portion of the rod that hold the reel is only about 3/16" deep which is not much if you plan to catch fish in the 5 to 10 pound range.
