Rated 3 out of 5 by hot2warm cannot boil water this item is nice for heating food and water, but it might have trouble boiling water or sterilizing water with a single esbit tablet. this is especially true if the water is cold and if the pot is filled to the 16 ounce mark. this is important for gram weinies, since you may have to carry additional tablets to ensure a good boil and this will be extra weight. it is lightweight, packs nicely and seems to be pretty durable. it is graduated so it is easy to measure the volume of water you add to it. the pot handles have silicone rubber sleeves and this will prevent you from burning your hands if you handle it while hot. Rated 5 out of 5 by hawkj513 Great backpacking stove This is a great lightweight personal stove for backpacking. The stove stores inside the cooking vessel and the whole thing weighs a little over seven ounces. The fuel bricks last about 15 minutes and it takes about 5 minutes to boil 8 ounces of water at (sea level). April 30, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by rennuR eht miJ Its fine but I use it to boil water and cook it works fine but don't just use the fuel pellets to cook. The fuel pellets are meant to start the fire underneath, then you have to keep the fire going with twigs stick and tinder. July 20, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by karlfun Wish the stores carried the alcohol stove I was very pleased to find a handful of Esbit products at the local store - and I had been looking for a compact cookset and windscreen for my small Trangia alcohol stove. Esbit makes this same cookset, but for the alcohol stove they make - and I would have preferred to find that one - but this one will work just fine. I drilled out the rivet holding the fuel-tab-box to the bottom of the windscreen, and it popped right out. My Trangia stove fits right in there, and the pot still fits into place over the top of it.
