lazy and lifesaver in one
These sticks are the best, a 1/2 stick will light a campfire and weigh nothing. Two sticks will actually ignite small logs in my wood -burning stove. These sticks lite instantly and burn intensely and plenty long enough to get a fire started. These are on my "must" list when II put the backpack on, or when I'm building a fire in the wood-burning stove. Why bother starting with tiny twigs, pencil twigs, finger twigs. two-finger twigs, wrist size logs? Throw 2 fire sticks down and move directly to wrist size.

Great product
I love these for strating fires as they are eay to fit into my backpack and take up little space
I oftgen will buy extras just to carry in my RV as well
you need just a small portion to strat if wood is dry and if not use the whoel stick with dry brush to start and add accordingly

Great Value and Use
I actually broke these in half and store them in a waterproof cell phone hard case that I also got at Dick's. I keep them with a pack of waterpoof matches in my backpack for when I'm out in the woods on SAR missions and training. We had our bivouac training a few weekends ago and part of the training is to start your own fire, these worked like a charm, used half of one at the base of my wood pile and had a lovely fire going in a matter of a couple of minutes or less. Excellent value and I will always keep some in my pack:)

Awesome
My boyfriend thought he could just start a fire with sticks and paper. Once he got frustrated I threw two of these into the mix and they light and keep the fire going.
