with the right set up crossbows are better than compound bows
I use carbon express maxima bolts with rocket steelhead 100 grain broadheads I killed 243 pound 14 pointer at 49 yards I got a pass through right through both lungs he didnt go fifty yards in my opinion this set up is the best I hunted seversl yesrs with a compound bow before a series of surgerys forced me to quit shooting but now I can hunt again as well as compete im very happy with this set up

covert cx2 with rocket stealhead 100 grains
Killed a 234 pound buck field dressed at 46 yards he didn't go 50 yards and it was a pass through the broadhead shot just like field point and the crossbow was deadly accurate I hunted with compound bows and shot professionally for years until a series of shoulder surgerys made it impossible I would recomend crossbow hunting to anyone its just as exciting as compound bow hunting you just have to practice and have the right set up
