Rated 5 out of 5 by Ben Great for Your Back !
I use this every morning before work for about 5 minutes. I use it primarily on my back to stretch the muscles out, increase circulation and to keep my spine flexible. It is a little rough at first but as your muscles loosen up it is quite rewarding !

Really works through those knots in your muscles. A little difficult to manipulate because you need to use your strength for some positions, but this thing can reach pretty much every muscle in your body. You'll find yourself creating poses to reach them all. Definitely worth the money.

Was uncomfortable at first, but feels great after a couple of weeks. First week I made sure I wore a thicker shirt.

We use it with our P90x2. Tony H has the same one. It is amazing. It is like a deep tissue massage. This is not soft and cuddly but definitely works.

I have had back, neck, and shoulder issues for which i see a massage therapist. The roller is a great tool to help bridge the gap between sessions and keep things loosened up on a daily basis. For those who think it is painful, you have to approach it like any other excercise equipment. Make sure you are using it correctly, don't over do it, and there can always be some amount of discomfort when using anything for the first time.
If it is really painful it may be simply an indication of the need to use it. I mostly used it for my back area but realizing with my massage therapist that i need to work on other areas due to a knee issue and understanding more about how muscle fascia works it was painful at first but now I find it invaluable to use rumble roller and not just a roller!

It's ok, it's really hard and even a little painful to use. I don't think I would recommend this product.

I bought the rumble roller for my husband for a Christmas present. He hurt his upper back and shoulder and was going to physical therapy. The rumble roller is great because he can roll on it when watching TV. The rumble roller is solid and hard so that you roll slowly and have to get use to it. My son's are starting baseball and the rumble roller helps stretch out their backs. Excellent product, one of the best presents ever and well worth the money because it works!

It's no masseuse, but this roller really gets the job done! It's a gift for my wife who is up and about all day, so I only used it briefly to see if it was really worth giving at xmas.
Only a few rolls really made my back and legs feel better, but I've never tried any other roller, so I don't have a comparison. It did take some effort, and it was a little awkward at first. I think the wall unit would be worth the money, but we'll see how she takes to this first. I may end up buying her something else and keeping this! >_<
