Not as solid as I had hoped
Although it seems like it will last, I had expected a little more weight behind it.

Awesome "short" axe
I purchased the FastHawk as a dual purpose "hatchet" for both self-defense and camping. Blade is sharper than I expected "out of the box". I don't really care for the cover it came with and will buy the hard nylon case later. Am happy with the quality of the FastHawk though. It's a nice addition to my tactical weapons cache.

BUY IT.
This is a great all around tomahawk/axe, it has a good all around weight to it. Me and my friends added fricksion tape to the handle for more grip. Very fun to throw.

Solid, Durable, and Ultra-light weight!
Took it back packing, throws accurate, shave arm hairs, and will practically cut the planet in half!

Great camping tool
The best thing about this is the swing speed seems to allow deeper cuts in wood, opposed to other hatchets. I seemed to be able to chop more efficiently than other hatchets.

5 stars for fun & coolness. 2 for use
Lots of fun to have but not very useful as a hatchet.

Its Ok.
I got this as a Tool to take Kayaking Hiking Camping and Fishing and for a use of self defense..Views after some use...The PickAxe side seams to very good hard steel...,with all do respect the ax part of it does not seam to be as hard so to hold its edge.., I think the handle would be better if it had more of a curve to it. The Sheath was not really to my liking, I partly took it apart and changed the way axe feeds or loads I fliped it up right and added a snap..Was it worth the money {yes}...what made me stop and look. ---------..Mr. Ronald Lee Ermey's picture on the package logo... Great tool .
Perfect for when you need a tough , lightweight ax. The fasthawk will probobly exceed your expectations in performance. The only complaint is the sheath, the manufacturer would have done better with kydex or a hard plastic.
