I personally do LOVE this product. I've seen many reviews down-grading it due to the fact that it takes so long to solar-charge. I, on the other hand, have no problems with its charge capability or duration of battery use. Now of course it's going to use power very quickly to charge another device, whether its a phone, camera, or mp3/4, but for its own personal power(flashlite, radio, compass, exct)or even using the auxiliary for the external speaker, I've gone near three days without losing even one bar! It was a little tricky to figure out, like holding the function button for 4sec to use the extras then again for 4sec to get back to standbye for radio usage, I got the hang of it in about 20 mins. I hope any moron can if I could, lol! THE ONLY THING I WISH is that the thing had a dynamo crank as well, like the Scorpion(also Eton for $50 and in store)!!! I first purchased the Scorpion, but it does not solar-charge or even battery charge off the product, so i upgraded, and I'm in love with the idea of getting off the proverbial "Grid" which the Raptor allows. The scorpion has the dynamo crank for emergencies like storms or long blackouts in tight spots. But I did not like having to charge my other items by cranking! The Raptor holds its charge for quite awhile and I'm using it for beats all day when hiking and camping. Just set in the sun for a couple hours and let it charge and play, and I've had no problems and never once been down to 1 bar! If they made a newer version that had the dynamo crank as well, it would be the ultimate survival tool and no competitor could touch it! But my raptor will do me great till they do, honestly I might get the scorpion again for back up and be really set! I'm an apocalypse prepper and outdoor junkie so I love being fully prepared at all times! Hope I helped you buy one too!
