Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 27 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by wobbley and snapped off the base within minutes Kids loved this game. Easy to assemble, but CHEAP! There are 2 joints connecting 2 poles and the auger. As soon as we put it together we could see the pole swaying (very unstable). My six year old began hitting the ball around the pole as the directions indicate and the pole completely snapped from the base. We paid $70 for this! VERY DISAPPOINTING! July 4, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Base pole snapped in half in under a week Looks great but pole does not fit snug in base and base is flimsy so metal snaps in half. June 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great fun. Easy to set up. Must set in ground deeply as it is simply a staight pole. May 29, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by wobbly due to defect, but easy to fix As alot of reviews state, this thing is insanely wobbly. The problem is where the base and the bottom pole connect, the guide pin on the base and its corresponding hole are not correctly aligned with the hole on the bottom pole. It is a few cm too high, which locks the pole into place at an angle, causing the whole thing to wobble (see attached pic). You can fix this pretty easily by removing the guide pin assembly, set the pole back onto the base and get it level, then drill a fresh hole where it is meant to have gone in the first place- then place the guide pin into the new hole... Or just use a self taping screw to attach the two pieces. Its a shame that this kind of error made it through Quality Control. But then again my set was also missing half of the pump, so I'm assuming quality isn't high on their list. Either way it works great with the above fix, but in retrospect I could have just bought a steel pole at the hardware store and a better quality tetherball(the ball is less than average in quality) for much cheaper. Rated 1 out of 5 by No Stars Worthy This was a present for a 7 year old girl. It assembled easily and went into the ground with no problem. The pole was unstable and wobbled, but I figured we could tie it to some kind of brace to stabilize it better. About 20 minutes after playing with this, the pole broke off at the base. The auger stuck in the ground. Cheap and a complete piece of trash. It was one sad little girl. April 23, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Quest Tetherball set We bought a tetherball poll set for my daughter for her 10th birthday. Got it put together and as soon as my daughter hit the ball the auger snapped. So I took it back got another one same exact thing happened. The box said "New Steel Auger". There is no steel in that auger and there are 2 tac welds. Very cheap set. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS product. I would not pay $20 for it. Going to get my money back on it today. Dick's needs to ship all that they have back to the company. April 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by FUN FOR ALL KIDS MY GRANDSON LOVED THE GIFT. THEY WILL HAVE IT IN THEIR FRONT YARD WHERE ALL THE KIDS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD WILL PLAY WITH IT. March 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by I was looking for this yo be an expensive item but it was so cheap and on sale:) The kids play this for hours they love it! I was looking for this yo be an expensive item but it was so cheap and on sale:) September 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good but not great Well Made but a pain to install in ground. Needs to be cemented August 7, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not worth the 70 dollars! I wish I had read reviews before purchasing this. This set was easy enough to put together, but NOT easy to get into the ground (and we do NOT have rocky soil) the pole just is so big, and not narrow enough to easily install. Even though 2 men worked to get it into the ground, and got it all the way in (after an hour) it wobbles around in the ground! This set definitely needs to be cemented. In addition, the clip has already broken. It's too bad. My kids were so excited. But the clip continually breaking, and the ball falling off, in addition to it being unstable, makes it less than enjoyable to play with. I wish I had saved the box so I could return it. Oh, it's been 3 weeks since we bought it, and the base is already rusting. Save your money. Don't buy this. July 20, 2013
