If I could return it I would.
Spike went into the ground very well. The two poles that snap together do not have a tight fit therefore making the pole very unstable. The poles wobble all over the place making it difficult to hit the ball.

TetherBall review
My kids love this! I was so happy to finally find one. Unfortunately, the clip broke after one week of use. Now we just tie it on. I was so dissappointed. It also wobbles because the main pole is in three parts. It doesn't connect tight. My girls are still using it though.

cost effective
I bought for the price a decent teatherball set.
1. It was cheap
2. easy install
3. Didn't expect much from it
For what it is its good, but honestly if my wife didn't buy it outright I would have purchased better quality materials and made a better set. these are simple to make and she definatley overpayed as I've repaired it 3 times (not the same fixes). Where the poles join they easily bend outwards the more the game is played. I would consider welding them if you have the means. The metal clips are trash, just tie the rope through it. The ball is cheap and hard. if you can buy a nice leather one and your hands will thank you. taking them down and placing them inside is a must as weather takes its toll on these balls.

Poor quality
The tetherball pole was easy to assemble but after about 30 minutes of use the pole split right up the middle where you could see the seam where it was molded together. I would imagine they would all do this at some point of use.

Fine Product
Not sure about all the bad reviews. Ours has lasted a year now and only met its demise when a construction truck from the house building next door ran over it. The design allows for disassembly so I'm not sure how it could be more sturdy. Also not sure about the eye bolt - mine went together just fine. Product in my opinion is exactly what I expected when I purchased it. The only negative I would give is that the ball is very firm and would probably be uncomfortable after a bit. We tend to play for around 10 minutes so not an issue for us.

Teather ball unacceptable
Within one week the ball deflated. We bought it for our grandchildren and found it to be very hard (the ball) .... hurting hands... it really is geared for adults not children... and not all adults... after one try... I was done

Keeps detaching
When playing, certain twisting of rope allows latch to keep detaching from top of pole. On the other rope end, we cant seem to keep the knot tight enough so as not to keep having the ball fly off the rope when being hit. The constant 'letting go' from one end or the other is not fun. Your (the companies) suggestions are welcome, as we do like the game.

Too Flimsy
The overall pole is to flimsy and loose. Thats if you can get the whole pole in gorund, must find a very saturated patch of grass. Also the step is not stable enough, had to have a welder re-enforce as it bent initially.
