Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 63 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Stupid design I did not even try this camera out. I returned it right away. The design made the camera not practicable for use in the woods. The controls are in the back. So you would have to take the camera off the tree every time you wanted to check it. I usualy leave my camera on the tree for weeks. I only come every week or few days to check the card and maybe rotate on the tree. I don't have time to take the camera off the tree every time I need to check the card. It says easy to use in the field. HARD to use in the field. August 20, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by One last try for cuddy... My camera is out hopefully taken pictures... I've had cuddies in the past three to be exact and all three are worthless! I have 23 cams out right now... Moultrie seems to fair the best ... then browning and then trail guard... problem with cuddy is when you have a problem and you call they could care less... I'm tryin ONE last time (only because the cam was on sale and I had an extra $30 off... so we shall see hope it works better than the old ones... as for recommending the proof is in the pudding! Rated 1 out of 5 by product outdated and was not good at all Returned the product once I realized it was so outdated. It has a very narrow field of view and low resoultion pictures. It has a wider detection angle than picture angle also which will lead to a bunch of empty pictures. August 6, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not impressed Bought this Nd dis some testing with it before using it in the field. Motion capture was in a pretty narrow range and not very deep either, even worse in the dark. On the plus side. I loved the controls, very intuitive In the end I took it back and exchanged it for a Moultrie. As always Dick's made the return hassel free. August 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Still smiling. Simple to use. Great stills in color and IR. The 10 second videos are exciting. The price was right too. Bryant August 5, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by High Expectations I've seen pics from Cuddebacks in the past and they always looked good, so I had high expectations. So I bought two of the Ambush IR cameras hoping to cover more ground with pre-season scouting. So far the results have not met expectations. The night pics are grainy and the shutter speed seems slow. I've had too many pics with only the back half of the deer's body. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great camera Great daylight pics, good black and white pics at night, wish I had bought 2. June 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Super Simple to Operate! I took the camera out of the package, popped in the batteries and immediately started using it. The interface was so simple that I didn't even have to read the instructions! I really like the way the camera mounts to the tree, making it easy to adjust the settings and access the memory card. One drawback is this ease of access also makes it harder to secure from theft (unless you buy the Cuddesafe). So far so good...no problems! June 18, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poorly designed and built I was very disappointed in this product. The detection range was about 15 feet but after I did the firmware upgrade, it worked up to 20 feet. Still not far enough for me. The unit sometimes makes a clicking noise when taking a picture depending if the IR filter is needed or not - it is a mechanical arm that swings the filter in front of the lens and is quite audible. The SD card compartment door does not latch tightly and can open easily with a slight bump. The unit seems to reset itself as well as I had to set the time often. I had fresh batteries and ensured the battery pack was in. The battery pack does not seem to hold tight against the internal connectors so I think that was the issue. I returned it after 3 days and got a full refund. June 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not Worth the Money I paid $160 for this camera and it is not worth the money. Day pics were ok quality and night pics were blurry and hard to even tell if it had horns etc. Video is ok. It only picks up movement from about 15 feet away and they must be directly in front of camera. I even shimmed the camera to get the perfect angle...Took me 20 minutes to set up because it would not recognize me walking in front of it. I eventually put corn at the base of the feeder to get pics. Definitely not worth the money or hassle. June 3, 2014
