Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 57 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great camera Great daylight pics, good black and white pics at night, wish I had bought 2. June 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Super Simple to Operate! I took the camera out of the package, popped in the batteries and immediately started using it. The interface was so simple that I didn't even have to read the instructions! I really like the way the camera mounts to the tree, making it easy to adjust the settings and access the memory card. One drawback is this ease of access also makes it harder to secure from theft (unless you buy the Cuddesafe). So far so problems! June 18, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poorly designed and built I was very disappointed in this product. The detection range was about 15 feet but after I did the firmware upgrade, it worked up to 20 feet. Still not far enough for me. The unit sometimes makes a clicking noise when taking a picture depending if the IR filter is needed or not - it is a mechanical arm that swings the filter in front of the lens and is quite audible. The SD card compartment door does not latch tightly and can open easily with a slight bump. The unit seems to reset itself as well as I had to set the time often. I had fresh batteries and ensured the battery pack was in. The battery pack does not seem to hold tight against the internal connectors so I think that was the issue. I returned it after 3 days and got a full refund. June 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not Worth the Money I paid $160 for this camera and it is not worth the money. Day pics were ok quality and night pics were blurry and hard to even tell if it had horns etc. Video is ok. It only picks up movement from about 15 feet away and they must be directly in front of camera. I even shimmed the camera to get the perfect angle...Took me 20 minutes to set up because it would not recognize me walking in front of it. I eventually put corn at the base of the feeder to get pics. Definitely not worth the money or hassle. June 3, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't waste your money! Does not work. Takes bad photos.Called Cuddeback for support. Spent 20.00 on the update and still have not received it.Don't waste your money or time. May 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ambush IR, great camera! After using an older Cuddeback for years, (Capture IR Modell 1132), finally wearing it out, I purchased a WildGame Innovations camera and tried it for one week. The night time pictures were grainy if viewable at all and the daytime, (color), pictures were not as good as those from my ancient Cuddeback. So, I returned the Wild Game Innovations camera to Dick's Sporting Goods in Albuquerque and exchanged it for the Cuddeback Ambush IR. Since deploying the new Cuddeback, I have had excellent night time pictures, great day time pictures and sharp videos. I would recommend the Cuddeback cameras to friends and family. Additionally, Dicks Sporting Goods handled the exchange, no questions asked and my additional cost was 2 cents! Thank you May 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good for the price point!! have 4 of these!! they work well I like the fast trigger time and are easy to set up!! I will buy a few more have lot's of trails to cover!! April 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent photos and super easy to work with. I really appreciated the easy to use functions and simple format. The unit operates by simply turning a dial. The photo clarity was great for a trail camera, even at night. The online support and additional upgrades was a big seller. I purchased two, and after reviewing the first two, I bought two more. The mounting option was not theft proof, but I purchased a cuddle safe and some other options and they are bomb proof. The only concern is the range of the IR. The speed is unbelievable, but the range is not as good as I had hoped. March 26, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very Disappointed PositivesTakes a quality photo.Centers the subject really well.Color and clarity.NegativesVery few photos - many missed opportunities. ExpensiveSet it up right beside another camera I have. I was expecting to see how many photos the old camera was missing. Turned out to be the opposite. The older, cheaper camera took 210 photos and the Cuddeback only took 71. So many missed opportunities. Was expecting so much more from the brand. It was shown up by a 2 year old $50 camera. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!! March 26, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad quality trail camera Poor night photos with poor quality workmanship. Cuddeback has gone down hill since the early years when they use to make a good product. STAY AWAY FROM CUDDEBACK CAMERAS. March 20, 2014
