Rated 4 out of 5 by Clever, but not perfect. As far as combo fan/lights go, this is maybe just slightly above average. The articulation of the fan off the hanger is limited to about 30 degrees to each side; it pivots further, but it's balance doesn't allow it to go beyond. The fan has high and low speeds; the lamp needs high and low power, too. You lose use of the lamp if you want to stand it up, unless you Jerry-rig something; the lamp is the base. It's not huge, but it's definately not compact. I've only used it once so far, but it served it's purpose. May 2, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Is Just OK The light works great. It puts out a lot of light at night. However, the fan leaves a little more to be desired. It has two speeds (low and high). I hung it from the ceiling of my tent which is about 6 feet high. It makes more noise than I would like especially for the amount of air it puts out (or does not put out) when it is on high. I would be on the fence as to whether I would purchase it again for $30. May 21, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great light, not much as a fan. The fan isn't good for cooling, not sure any battery operated fan would really do what is needed in ninety degree weather. However the light is awesome, hanging hook convenient and it only takes two D Batteries. Good value for the price but don't count on the fan doing much to cool your hot morning tent. June 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Trying to stay cool... Product works as it's supposed to. I hung it from the top of the tent. It keep ok breeze. I wish it was a little stronger but it worked. And it was nice knowing where a light is in case you need something in the middle of the night. June 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great light, wimpy fan This was the first time I ever. Used a tent fan, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We have a large family size tent. I hung it from the ceiling and it was a perfect light for the whole tent. The fan just wasn't strong enough for that application. It was hard to tell if the fan was even on. Would probably be fine in a smaller tent. August 7, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Excellent as a light, mediocre as a fan Used this while camping out last weekend in a tent with 74" height. Hanging from the top center of the tent, it provided more than adequate lighting at nighttime and was a great light source for the entire 10x10 tent. However, the fan, even at the 'high' setting, didn't push much air and couldn't be felt from that height while laying down in the tent. Overall the item seems put together well and had great battery life, but kind of a dud as a fan. August 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not too shabby I used two of these at scout camp and they did pretty good to provide some air flow through the tent on nights that were over 80 degrees. Provided decent air flow for only needing 2 batteries. Light isn't supper bright as it uses a few LEDs but easy to hang in the tent or a tree for a some illumination. July 16, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cool Light Not a bad light / fan. Should be sold for $20 though. August 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works Great Used it when we had the last power outtage during the heat wave. Not that powerful but still a great tool to have. Saved us from insanity. July 16, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Quiet and did the job. The light was perfect for inside the tent, and the fam kept the air circulating. Fan on highest setting wasn't AMAZING, but it was enough on a stuffy humid night to keep up comfortable. Major con, when you use the light as the base it's facing downward, and is unuseable, when hanging however you can use both light and fan. June 6, 2012
