Rated 4 out of 5áby Jennymac Comfy but run small I bought these for a hiking trip and they worked out perfectly. I was warm and comfy. But my only issue is the sizes run very small so I ended up buying a size 10 when I'm usually a 6 to get them to fit properly in all areas mainly around my lower hips. May 14, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5áby xyz impractical pants design I like the fabric. It's very light but feels strong. It's a good idea to have rollup legs which are actually more useful than the convertibles. During a hike there is often no time or place to sit down to zip off the convertible legs. And the pants legs are not too bulky. Now the shortcomings: The pants' waist sits too low. I can live with that but not the pockets. The two front pockets are very tight. If I put my iPhone in a front pocket, I can't bend forward. I usually put my phone in a back pocket of my pants but these pants only have one back pocket where I place my thin wallet. The left leg does have a deep, zip-up side pocket. But because the fabric is very thin, a phone in that pocket dangles and knocks on my leg when I walk. I wish Columbia had actually tried to put the pants into some practical use in the design phase. Rated 4 out of 5áby ncz Nice pants I tried on two sizes, a 6 and 8. I ended up buying the 8, but once I got home and tried them with my shoes, I wished I would have gotten the 6. Both sizes fit almost exactly the same in the waist, but once the pant legs are rolled down, the 8 is much longer and the legs are much wider. They will be great field pants either way.
