Great product!!! This item is amazing! I have another hand held golf GPS and had a hard time using it,this thing is so simple to use,it even has the small 9 hole course in my neighborhood that I play a lot,on my other GPS, it was not even avaliable. Technically Innovative I've used various laser range finders and other GPS devices on courses. It's about time that someone (Garmin) understands the end user.. i.e., the golfer. I received the S1 as a special retirement gift. It was a terrific gift, but after seeing the additional features in the S3, I immediately upgraded to the S3. The S3 is extremely accurate, easy to use and read. But the most important feature is it's packaging as a convenient wristwatch that's always immediately available to view and won't get lost or forgotten on the golf course, in the cart or easily stolen. The FREE course upgrades and no subscription fees provides icing on the cake. I can see my handicap already dropping in my retirement! January 30, 2013
Stroke saver. i consistently shoot in the mid 90s, i dont know if it is the watch or not, but the first time played with it, i shot 89, and broke 90 for the first time. very easy to easy to use, gives the basics, front middle and back, and also keep scores. very happy with my purchase, and highly recomend it to any golfer. it also speeds up play. Great addition, a must have! Received for Christmas and I love it. Very easy to operate and the distance matches my friends Golf Buddy Pro Tour exactly. Faster then the Golf Buddy to get started, too bad the battery does not last longer on a full charge. I haven't tried to play 36 with it yet but it usually says that it has 60% charge left after a round so it should make it. Bob T January 8, 2013

Approach S3 - Initial Impressions Used my new S3 on several recent outings. Right out of the box, I did go online to check for new updates and found that one was available. Garmin site not the most intuitive. On course, yardages were very consistent with course markers. Easy to use but touch screen not extremely sensitive - you have to attempt most touches twice. Battery life about as expected (could do two rounds per charge). Overall - very light and easy to use; probably responsible for shaving off several strokes per round, but not a magic bullet to good course management. August 19, 2012
Excellent better than a handheld. Had this S3 for 2 weeks and used it for 6 rounds, great features and I love the scorecard function. I must buy for you golfers. August 2, 2012
Great tool!! I have used this watch for approx. 8 rounds of golf now and I love it! I have only found one hole on one course that the yardage was way off. I wish the battery life was a little longer, but overall it is one of my favorite golf tools. July 4, 2012
