Best of both worlds
I have a couple of pairs of minimalist shoes and these hiking boots are almost as light but have excellent traction and ankle support. I would buy another pair tomorrow.

Great Hicking boot!!
I bought this hicking boot because im going to be hicking the adirondack high peaks in the summer and fall. I needed a hicking boot like this one with all the great features to complete these goals. They feel prety comfortable and light weight which is a plus. I say the Salomon® X Ultra Mid GTX hiking boot is sure worth the money.

Super Product
killer pair of boots, best pair of boots i've ever had. Two super sweat features 1) very light weight, I can walk for miles / days not having to shlep heavy boots around, 2) the ortholight foot bed = very cushy. Be heads up, I had to order a half size larger then normal. Very impressed with this product.

Great boot
This boot is very light weight, comfortable for running with good ankle support. The sizing was spot on and after wearing them for a month I'm looking to buy a second pair.
There is no better endorcement.

Awesome comfort
These Salomon hikers are the most comfortable,lite-weight hikers I've owned. More ankle support than the trail runners but extremely lite and flexible. I was a Merrill guy for years,not anymore.i will pay more for the high quality and comfort of Salomon.

Great Boot
Bought these boots before a 50 mile trek through Mt Mitchell mountain's and I had absolutely no problems with them being brand new and not being broken in before I did the walk.
