Field & Stream Oversized Magnum Camp Cot
As stated in other reviews, this thing is huge hence the name Magnum XL. This won't fit in you tiny 2 man dome tent. I'm 5'10" and can stretch out completely. A plus for the extra length is your pillow won't fall off the end like it does with a heat sucking air mattress. It is heavy. It's made out of steel, not aluminum. If you want light weight, this isn't for you. I'm a bit on the heavier side at 250 lbs and wanted heavy duty goodness. I found it in this cot. I bought 2 of them for our 3 room camp mansion that we family camp in.
Family camping is comfort driven and comfort is what we found in this cot. If you seek a durable cot that will hold up for years, get this one. Spend the extra money as it is worth every penny. If you are 5' tall and 90 lbs, get an aluminum frame unit. If weight is a factor, get an aluminum unit. If you have a little tent, buy this cot AND a bigger tent. You will love yourself for it.

Cot Worth the Money
This cot was about $100...more than I thought we should pay...but it's xl size and heavy duty frame makes it worth it!!!! The frame is pretty heavy to haul around but the cot is worth it's weight in gold.

The cot is well built and can be treated as a rugged piece of equipment. Its heavy but it's the trade off you make for being well built. It's stable with good footing which also makes for a sturdy organizing platform. I slept well on the cot but still plan to purchase the TETON Sports Outfitter XXL Camp Pad to increase comfort. The cot sets up and breaks down easy. It also tucks away nicely into the strong carrying case. I made the right choice.

Gitting it Together a Real Struggle
My wife and struggled to stretch the cloth over the metal removable end pieces-It took ten minutes the first time. We are real busy and do not have the time to return it which we considered. Hope it goes together easier with more use. This cot is not recommended for anyone with weaker hands or no help. We are moving and need a cot to use until our furniture arrives.

Too heavy for camping
I couldn't believe how heavy the cot was when I received it in the mail. I sent it back immediately.

Although it is a bit heavy and larger than I imagined, it worked perfectly. I have bad knees, so getting up off the ground in my tent was getting to be difficult. This allowed me to get up with no problems for that midnight bathroom call with ease.

This cot is very solid and can handle the weight of the heaviest person, it is very stable and will not tip over if you sit on the side getting on or off, it is wide and long and fairly comfortable for a cot. The carrying case is strong canvas and strong but be aware that when packed this cot is heavy to carry.

Get's it Done.
I purchased this cot and was impressed with the construction and quality. Was easy to put together and take apart. I believe this unit will last for years and thats important. The cot is very comfortable and you do not build-up moisture during cold nights. This unit gets it done. Only thing that disappointed me was that it was made in China like everything else we buy. If it were made in the USA it would given it a 5 star.

This thing is HUGE
I tent camp at least twice a month during Spring/Summer/Fall. I got tired of the condensation forming under my sleeping bag while using my thermarest. I am 6'4" 200 lbs and wanted to make sure I got a cot that was big enough for me. Well, I did. This thing is about the same size as an extra long single bed. It barely fits in my 10 person tent. It is comfortable though. It also weighs about 50 lbs. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't had it long and haven't had a chance to see how long it will last.
