Rated 1 out of 5 by Nishiki Bike U-Lock Too large for my Nishiki Bike - Manitoba model. Had to return it February 7, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Had this lock for a week, inner mechanism already broken I bought this lock as a replacement for a U-lock I gave to my brother after he decided to start biking to school. I used this lock for my bike while I travel around my large college campus between classes, and after the first few days the small plastic clip on the edge of the lock (used to hang on your bike) broke off. I was kind of ticked off by that, but the lock was working fine, so I didn't really mind it. However, after a week, the lock itself jammed and refuses to turn open. I sprayed a bit of WD-40 inside, hoping that it would loosen the inner mechanism, but it was to no avail. I ended up trying to turn the key hard enough for it to bend the key itself. Now my bike is stuck on campus, as I try to find other ways to remove the lock before I decide to just cut it off. February 11, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good lock! This baby works great for what I need. Never have to worry about a flimsy cable getting cut. May 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by nice lock, great price Nice lock, it is tough to find a double shackle lock with a sturdy key, ironic that the only other lock I would trust would be the Blacburn locks also sold by Dick"s. The negatives would be that the 11mm hardened steel shackle is not as thick as the blackburn lock but if you do not leave your bike out overnight or if it is like mine a cheaper bike(under $500) I feel this lock will be enough to ensure that your bike will still be there when you get off work. Only 2 keys appears unable to order replacements Last of all the mounting bracket appears weak sadly this is typical I have a great bracket from Planet Bike, but the lock was terrible! go figure April 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Strong and sturdy The bike lock is very safe and secure. Although the plastic holder to the bike frame is a little weak, it serves its purpose and works well as a bike lock. January 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sturdy lock but clunky Good lock but it's a hassle to find a place to put it when not in use if you have a 16" frame like mine. Improvised and keep it hanging under the seat. It's size is a plus because you can put it through your tire and a secure bar but it's size is also a hassle because it's quite heavy. On the whole, I think it's a good, solid lock for use in the city. October 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good U-lock Despite Previous Reviews I purchased a Raleigh Revenio 1.0 for $550 & I trust my bike with this lock Keys are strudy so they will not brake off when you are in the process of locking or unlocking your bike. Process is also smooth. I do not use the attachment. There is no room on bike unless I remove the water bottle holder. When not in use, I carry it in a backpack or hydration pack. September 11, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good. It's good and sturdy. August 30, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Who wants a fragile lock? The part that connected to the stem of the bike broke on the first use. What a piece of junk! Do not buy this unless you're into collecting garbage and frustration. Hey Dicks, stop carrying this lock por favor. July 16, 2012
