Rated 4 out of 5 by RMBalt Went on easy, no smell, not tested yet. The product applied to the bottom of my tent fairly easy, a little sticky, and best to do outdoors with no wind, and maybe wear some disposable gloves. I had my tent erected, but the process may have been a little smoother if I had removed the poles and laid it out with the tent floor up on a flat surface. My next trip should let me know if my tent is water proof! RM June 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sticky Fly Sticky I used this on an old Eureka tent fly. The original coating had become a little tacky and I wanted to ensure it would keep rain off. I applied one coat and let it dry 24 hrs. Instructions say a single coat works best so of course I put on another coat. Instructions also say to test surface before folding. After letting the second coat dry 24 hrs, I pack the fly and headed for the trail. The first afternoon, it took me 45 mins. to peel the newly coated underside apart. I eventually learned to roll the uncoated side over the coated side but the newly coated side never fully dried during my 7 day hike and I ended up throwing the fly away. Operator error? Probably, so don't use more than 1 coat and make sure it is completely dry before folding. Also suggest unfolding the newly coated material after 24 hrs before heading out to ensure no sticking. Rated 4 out of 5 by not a wethead don't get wet! Have applied sealant but not yet used in rain. There was no odor and we are hopeful to get a few more years out of our tent and pavilion. Pavilion leaked where velcro was attached so hopefully that's OK now also. Quantity is too much for our little tent so we did pavilion also. May 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rhino05 Floor Sealant Sorry guys, I haven't got to use this product yet, as in camping. Now I have applied it to the tent foot print and the product has seemed to work great. It spreads on real easy, takes a little while to dry but all and all it seems like it seals really well. Now I did use it on the floor of my tent also. It says to do that but it is so tacky after I had to use baking soda to keep it from being so sticky. March 5, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Wasocamp Product doesn't work well I purchased this product along with a spray as well. Un be known to me, my husband had already tried this product and told me to return it because it doesn' work and makes a mess. The store was out of all other sprays and sealants for tents, so needless to say good thing we had a camp to sleep in ait poured later that day and the tent leaked. August 7, 2013
